With Red Hat, you can do a kickstart auto install, which will let you do this. I've never used it, but I think you just create a configuration file and you can install a duplicate setup over multiple machines using it -- without being prompted for anything.
Isn't it obvious? Haven't you noticed that anytime someone posts something controversial it gets moderated down and marked as "Flamebait"? I think a new moderation reason is required, "Controversial" -- at least then it will be the truth. Apparently a moderator who likes BeOS got offended, what a shame.
But, I agree completely. Although I may not agree with everything he wrote, he's certainly entitled to his opinion.
This reminds me of a Simspons episode, when they were listening to the radio in the kitchen and the guy on the radio was talking about politics and Marge said "That sounds like controversy, I don't like controversy in this house". (It's satire, damnit)
Yes, converting GIF to ANSIs is possible. I remember a lot of the really lame boards used to use a gif2ansi program for their art. It's frowned upon in the ansi/bbs community (yeah, it's still around).
But anyways, search around.. there were 2-3 DOS utilities available to do it. One was called ansirez, and one was just gif2ansi.exe:)
In response to the post above with a reference to Rasterman's website saying it's a hoax, he's referring to something else. If you notice, the date on that post was May 4th. Plus, this letter made no references to what floor he lived on or anything about his girlfriend. So, this is probably a legitimate article.
I really believe the Dreamcast will be a complete flop in America, and here's why:
- Horrible timing. Right now, most gamers already have at least a PSX or an N64. Believe it or not, both still have at least a year's life left in them. _Most_ people will not want to have to get another console so soon.
- Let's face it, it's Sega. Their most successful system was the Genesis, and it was still eventually overtaken by the SNES. I don't need to list all their failures to you guys, as you're probably well aware of them already.
- Why buy a Dreamcast when in just a little more time the TRUE next generation consoles (N200X, PSX2) will arrive? I'm sure many will understand this reasoning.
Too little too late. And perhaps most importantly, software companies will also recognize these points and be reluctant to develop for the Dreamcast. So don't expect to see a ton of games being made for this thing after it's out for a few months.
Then you probably haven't installed much software on any of them since they've been up, as most of the apps I've seen for windows require you to reboot after installation.
AMD has always been known for having very low prices compared to the Intel counterpart. But, with the big jump with the improved floating point, 200mhz bus, etc, won't this force them to submit to Intel's price range?
They're not making any promises. If you noticed, the article was from IGN, not Nintendo. Even so, Nintendo will release it at the right time, they're great marketers (and they're NOT known for vaporware). The fact that they change the specifications along the way is for the best, and with them releasing it at least 6 months after the PSX2, you can count on it being more powerful.
I've always heard "cracker" used as someone who reverse-engineers software. Or, someone who decrypts. And "hacker" as someone who breaks into machines without authorization.
Please, no one e-mail that address. This person obviously is trying to get everyone to send hatemail to that guy, presumably his enemy.

In every aspect of speed, the answer is the K7. I haven't found this out first hand yet, but I think it's safe to say this as of right now.
Check out the prices, they aren't half bad.
600mhz - $699
550mhz - $479
500mhz - $324
Also, from browsing the AMD website, I came across this K7 FAQ. It's actually pretty interesting and gives some new information.

This story was already posted a few days ago here.
The N64 DD will only be released in Japan. There's VERY little chance of it being released in America.
