In terms of internet connection it's really frustrating in Indonesia after living in Canada for 5 years.
For lousy "home" cable there's only one provider so far, price is about 350,000 rupiahs (about US$ 41) per month. Don't get me started on their service/quality, it's disgusting.
For "business" ADSL (512/64) with unlimited usage we pay 3,800,000 rupiahs (about US$ 447) per month. I used to pay CA$ 45 per month for my 1Mb/256kbps home ADSL back when I was in Canada in 2001.
What does the "LTS" stand for?
Have you looked at ZFS from Sun?
I believe at this moment it's only available on Solaris, but it's open source.
Personally I haven't had the chance to try it myself, but from what I read it seems really impressive, at least on paper. Might want to check it out.
Java is an island, not a province.
It's actually $1.69, not $1.80 as predicted. See this Sydney Morning Herald article
-1 = i^2 = i * i = sqrt(-1) * sqrt(-1) = sqrt(-1 * -1) = sqrt(1) = 1
My discrete math teacher in uni got us scratching our heads for a while before he explained what was wrong with that "equation".
You can do that with POP3 too.

Ciao,

Binary registry is probably more prone to corruption. Although it should be faster than parsing text-based config, say XML.
Well, there is one already at least. Search for mpeg2divx or avi2divx. It's based on the avifile library.
