    The ironic part is that I'm a Linux newbie, and Mandrake 8.1 was only my 2nd successful linux install, the first being Icepack. I couldn't deal with working in 640x480 so I tried out Mandrake and fell in love....

    How about doing something at your school to educate the Upperclassmen? Most of them can / will be able to vote. Make sure the way you explain it to them would be an example that would affect them. Hell, yesterday I told my mother about the SSSCA, clearly & concisely, and she thought it was an absolutley horrible bill, but most importantly she understood the ramifications of the bill, and my mom is nowhere near computer literate. She also understood that Hollings is a bought & sold political prositute....

    I did the same...no responses on any fronts. Face it they just don't care. Now they are trying to "sheild college students from gambling. Welcome to thought control. Welcome to the beginnings of the police state.

    Ok stupid ;).

    If you change the theme of the Installer GUI (bottom left hand corner) it does have little silver & black checkboxes. Of course, it would have been nice if they made that theme the default.

    Who's with me? I'm going to go bye-bye if this is passed into law. I hear parts of Europe & Brazil are very nice. If enough of us up & move to another county, maybe then they will pay some attention when the 'Net goes down permenently or the latest MS Virus mangles thier computer beyond recoverability. (Ok, I realize that isn't REALLY going to happen). We really need a lobbying group or a union or some kind of organization. You've heard the saying, "Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups". What about smart people in large groups? We could be REAL dangerous....
