  1. It's probably OPTIONAL on Nintendo Releasing Wireless Router for Revolution · · Score: 1

Just an optional router for somebody that has a PC with DSL (like most folks) and buys a revolution. I'm sure the revolution will work with existing wifi infrastructure if that is your desire. Sounds like a pretty good product to me.

  4. Standard "Canned" Response to Web Designers? on Web Designers Ignoring Standards and Support IE Only · · Score: 1

I've been using Mozilla now for months and I can get to MOST sites OK, though I do miss a few features here and there. I typically send them an e-mail and they may or may not address the problem. I was wondering if anyone had written a kind of canned response to send to "bad" web designers when their HTML is too MS-centric?? I usually write these manually, but it would sure be easy to send out a standard, well-written and well thought out response to convince these authors to change their ways. Does anybody know of one?

  5. Get a computer science degree or you may regret it on System Administrators - College or Career? · · Score: 1

I am a government contractor in network, security, and system administration, at a large government facility. I can tell you that, although I got on as a contractor with a CIS degree, since I don't have a CS degree, I cannot take a job with the government as a computer scientist. That is just one example of how it hurts you. Although that may not be your short-term goal right now, one day you may have the opportunity to work in a research-related field where they not only care IF you have a degree, they care what KIND of degree you got, and even how many math or computer science courses you took. I'd say getting the 4-year degree, if you can do it, in computer science, is a no-brainer.

Hey, if all these software developers have to rewrite their software, why not rewrite it for linux, etc.? Could this be a golden opportunity here?
