Admittedly, the gun always aimed. You just had to fire at the right time. And in some cases have the correct weapon
I may be an old fart.
The first FPS is Wolfenstein, around 1981 on the Apple II.
It was very good at that time.
How times have changed, and how they haven't.
I work with some high end graphics software
The Mesa drivers don't work.
A prolonged and nasty install of the Nvidia drivers is req. for the software to work.
Not a good user experience on Linux
You don't quite understand the problem.
ESPN and CNN are forcing cable to bundle, not the other way around.
Did you know ESPN is owned by Disney? They force sports fans to get Disney kids....
Works both ways.
Putting pressure on the cable companies does nothing. Write congress, not much likely to happen there.
Drop to basic service if you don't want bundles.
This is a space littered with failures.
Including Google TV.
They seem to have Netflix on-board, a start.
But they also seem to be missing HBO, and the other movie channels. Not a deal breaker for some, but it is for me.

This potential law is fated to fail.
Frankly, I doubt it was ever intended to succeed.
Politicians do stupid things that make stupid people think they are actually doing something.
I plays well with the hoi polloi.
The supreme court has struck down similar laws, this one is DOA
Canonical has their problems. Making money is not one of them
They've made at least hundreds of millions.
Mark Shuttlesworth, heard of him? bought a ticket to space.

That said, it's difficult to impossible to detect passive scanning.
except for the idiot that opens his mouth...
Sadly you are misinformed or poorly educated.
The companies you mention make nothing off this software.
The companies that do make money from this software prefer not to be in he public eye. It's more profitable.
Qualcom for instance. There are others, but I don't feel like digging their names up.
They hold the high ground, because Apple, Android, almost irrelevant Ubuntu and MS all need their chips and software for their chips.
If one company controlled the smartphone market they could force something, as long as there is more than one it isn't going to happen. i.e. never
don't worry, as long as a "phone" is involved no obstruction may be made by the carrier.
Failing to follow that rule will bankrupt Verison, Comcast, or AT&T in a day.
don't confuse the connection with who you connect, and how you connect.
Facebook is overwhelming, annoying, all consuming. And people let it
The same thing was said about myspace. whatever happened to them. the good news for facebook is they're almost too big fail. Too many people use them, though they could.
Google, Apple, even Microsoft, too big to fail. The downside is difficult. Facebook wants to get there.
y'know, it's good for the shareholders.
one of my regrets is not spending everything I had on Google's IPO

My new phone is better.
Its a brave new world
I'm not sure how much my phone, and those connected to it, I'd like to know.
have to see how it goes
I don't have one, but I agree with you. Google TV was a great piece of technology.
It failed as commercial product.
The world is littered with great products that didn't sell well.
This is a space littered with failures.
