Unless one of the two things being compared is Java. What an awful platform. At least C/C++ is an open source option that can be used with any other number of tools. The only thing worse than Java is Flash. At least Jobs had that right.
Scientists and rational beings can. Religious zealots and irrational beings can't.
Did you hear about the 17 people beheaded by the Taliban for the crime of 'mingling'? And you expect the zealots to even have a rational conversation about evolution?
In Mid-2004 their stock was around $90. Now it hovers around $22.
It warms my heart to see the scum of the printer industry slowly die. Whenever I was asked about which printer to get, my answer was almost always, "Anything but Lexmark."
Assange has been accused of rape. Multiple allegations, actually. What does he do? He runs away. With all of the well known and rich friends he has, mount a defense. Even the guilty have been exonerated. Remember OJ Simpson? Open and shut case and he still walked.
Stand your ground and fight for what is right. When you set yourself up as a beacon of truth, you can't slink off in the middle of the night. He had to know that there would be retribution. Prepare for it. He didn't. Therefore he is a fool or a rapist or both. In this case, either would make him a sack of shit.
And from what I have read I tend to believe the female accusers.
And? What happened? Where was the outcry? Scooter Libby and Karl Rove walk the Earth freely. Why are they not rotting in a jail cell? Ah, yes, presidential pardons.
Irwin Schiff went to prison for not paying his taxes. I don't fault him for that. Civil disobedience, is after all, a noble act of defiance. However, as such, you have to be prepared to suffer the consequences. The US Government is what the US Citizens decide it should be. Who's fault is it that the American people are too lazy to fight for what they want? Oh, too busy working to put food on the table. What crap! The average person watches some 20 hours a week with their eyes glued to the TV watching vacuous nonsense.
Imagine what one could accomplish spending half those hours engaged in some aspect of civics. Oh, that's right, no one remembers that along with their rights, they have certain duties and responsibilities.
I wonder how different the US would look if Martin Luther King had sat back and watched Real World.
Right that! But Julian Assange is still a sack of shit. WikiLeaks on the other hand is a great idea that should be in the hands any one person. Especially Assange.
I think you just proved the opposite of what you wanted to prove. She got her message out. She testified before the Congress, Press and the American people. Its just that no one cared enough. Democracy is about freedom, but it is not free. It takes a lot of hard work and no one is going to hand it to you.

Sorry, this is a load of drivel. We know more about those two wars than any war before it. The problem might be, might be, I said, that we know too much about it. War is an ugly mess and most can't deal with the reality of it.
If you really believe that you have not gotten anything about the war, except what the US Government wants you to hear about, then you have not been looking too closely. There are a lot of non-US and non-US friendly news sources out there. You just have to look a little harder than Blender Underground or Slashdot.
Well, AC, it all started when she wanted to use a spare USB wireless adapter ( old laptop ) I had. She needed to install the drivers via ndiswrapper but I had neglected to put it there first. I told her I would do the next time I came over. She told me to walk her through it. I'm gonna say no to my mother?
My 77 year old mother has one on her laptop. Its called Ubuntu. She is still trying to say it right.
And to think I was a little nervouse when she got internet access and started sending me puppy emails. Now she just complains about having to do a sudo and type in her password way too often.
... to build an app that fakes the install of programs? In other words, overwhelm MS with hundreds of false install notices to them. As certain programs become 'of interest' to certain parties, we add that program to the list. Eventually, the information would become useless and would be abandoned.
The first thing we do around here, when we get a new resume, is to check the klout score. The closer it is to 0, the more likely we are to keep the darn thing. If this wanker spends the time needed to improve his internet influence, then he is can go waste someone else's time.
Regardless of what order you list the cities and/or countries today, you would have a completely different list in 5, again in 10 and yet another in 20. I'd say your pick should be based on the culture you're most comfortable with.
Personally, I'd stay the heck away from India and China. I would leave if I were in either place. Both countries have serious infrastructure issues. And I would not want to live in a slave state ( China ), regardless if they seem to be opening up. That is only for the well connected. The working slobs have it worse than anywhere else in the wolrd. Hong Kong is an exception, but that is slowly fading.
Nothing is wriong with it. For you. I hated looking at it. That's me. A simple apt-get allows you to install Gnome, KDE or whatever other interface you want. I recently switched from Gnome to KDE.
It's all about choices.
And to bring this back on-topic, the teacher chose what he did because he was comfortable with it. He put in the time so he gets to choose.
I was referring to Android, the OS, that the AC was blasting, not the development kit(s).
I have not tried to develop for the Android because I was so disauded by others by the very issues you bring up.
Really? In what way? Specifics, man!
According to my info, it has some Java, but it is mostly C, C++ and Python and is based on the Linux kernel.
Unless one of the two things being compared is Java. What an awful platform. At least C/C++ is an open source option that can be used with any other number of tools. The only thing worse than Java is Flash. At least Jobs had that right.
Not married, huh?
I always thought the gene that made women happy was what was in my pocket...
Get your mind out of the gutter! I meant in my wallet in my back pocket.
It's a good thing that I renewed my Old Glory Robot Insurance.
soccer mom texting in her gas guzzling behemoth, when wrecking with a subcompact, tends to survive better than the poor guy in the subcompact
Sort of like survival of the unfittest.

Not going to happen.
Interesting. In my office, it seems the the opposite is true. I thought it was because the younger ones had the attention span of gerbils on speed.
Just don't pair me with a girl.
I can't think of ANY one that I want to spend that much time around.
My wife can't code, but I would not want to spend that much time with her either.
Now, maybe my girlfriend. But I don't htink we would get much coding done. Besides, she can't code and I don't care.

I've had the feeling that Apple had nothing left in the product pipeline and they will become the next SCO.
Sad. I like some of their stuff. I even liked how they forced many industries to change.
Now, to time the sale of my Apple stock with its peak value, which I suspect will be sometime this quarter.

Have you used Windows 7? Only marginally better than Vista. I actually miss XP. OMG, Did I really say that?

Or am I missing something?
