  1. Console Alternative to Gaim on Gaim 2.0.0beta1 Released · · Score: 1

I am fond of BitlBee. It's an IRC-to-IM gateway. When on the console, I can have my IM sessions in the same app (irssi in my case) as my IRC sessions.

  2. Re:Mason Support for mod_perl 2 on mod_perl 2.0.0 Released · · Score: 1

Mason has officially supported mod_perl 2 since version 1.27 (http://www.masonhq.com/code/history.html#v1.27). Support for the namespace changes won't be implemented until mod_perl 2 is final (which it seems to be now), so I suppose that would be a lack of official support. However, it sounds like you were referring to pre-1.27 when Beau Cox released his special handler for mod_perl 2.

A nice dream, but according to the FAQ:

No. To preserve the continuity of the fiction, you will not be able to play the key figures in the Star Wars universe. However, you may cross paths with a few of them...

I went to the UPN website this morning to see when Enterprise would begin airing. Anyway, the first page displays these words: "By entering this site you are agreeing to the Terms of Use." The part I found funny? They use a meta refresh to send you into the site.

Enabling warnings is all well and good, unless you're using poorly-written system or third-party libraries. Then you're just stuck with all sorts of warnings filling up your log files or your console.

What I find particularly funny is how the caller ID lists "Unknown Caller" when the phone company calls to sell me a service.

I know a telemarketing company is used for the calls, but I still find it funny.
