A shame. Interplay have been arround for longer then some slashdotters have been alive, and certainly longer then many have been on the internet. List of games interplay have published
(For non-UK residents, Robert Kilroy Silk is a former chat-show host who managed to sum up algebra, chemistry and navigation as: "those A-rabs dint do squat")
Which he later remarked that he forgot to put "in the last 500 years" on. I've never seen a decent rebuttal to his claims if you apply them over the last 500 years. Please, do so if you can
The winner is the first to make it to the BBC evening news... If I walk across the back of News24 with a DeCSS tshirt on does that count? If so I've won before:D
You spot new things every time you watch again. I Watched "A head in the polls", a topical (in the UK) futurama episode again last night. As well as being hilarious (my girlfriend's a fan now!), I spotted a new visual gag (Rook takes Pawnshop) that I didn't see the first 10 times.
I take it you dont own any dvd's, just rent them from netflix or wherever?
I went to the "Vue" in Shepherds Bush last night to see Day after Tomorrow. First we had this advert about how piracy funds terrorism, then there was some gimp at the front of the theater with some binocular type device. I accidently shined my keyring torch at him (they didn't say they were going to spy on us)
This films been out over a week in the UK, god knows what they were looking for. They sadly didn't throw out the mentally ill idiots a few seats to my right (texting all through the movie, didn't have the courtesy to put it on vibrate), or the person that was actually talking on a phone part way though, or the idiots behind me that kept saying "here come the wolves, look out!" and "look behind you" and other shit.
It's probaby just the area, never get these twats in Penzance, or even in Exeter or Manchester.
not that the BBC World Service doesn't already do this on the radio
Funded from the foreign office, not the license fee. World TV (as well as the BBC branded foreign channels, BBC America etc.) is funded by advertisers. BBC Prime is funded by subscription.
this probably adds up to a significant licence fee increase
IIRC my ballpark BBC Worldwide figures, its about 10% of the BBC's income - so a tenner on the license fee would cover all income from syndication and dvds.
This is on top of the additional fee already imposed for digital viewers.
What additional fee? You mean last years 4 increase?
The BBC are not government. They are controlled by state officials and the Crown.
Yes, thats right aside for one little point.
YOU@RE COMPLETELY WRONG
The BBC is controlled by an executive committie of ~ 20 people, headed by the Director General (Mark Thompson). He is appointed by the board of governers (headed by Micheal Grade). He was appointed by the government, however once appointed is not controlled by them, nor does he control the DG.
64 bit is very fine and snazzy, but what are the consumer options and why do I want them? Lets assume I dont plan on having more then 2^32 bytes of memory for a while, why do I want a 64bit cpu?
Ahh, if only you'd seen Friends you'd know the truth

My other blackhole is a goatse
True, I'm trying to contribute to a free software project that I
1) feel qualified to offer patches too
2) am interested in
Can't compile the bugger though!
There's a black hole in my pocket, must be. It formed about the same time as my girlfriend moved in, ever since then my money just vanishes.
Theres more chance of your vote getting an small party candidate in, rather then changing the numbers of the big 3.
Your constituency is a whole region (e.g. south west england), You vote in 10 MP's, I guearentee at least one "other" person will be there.

("this DVD is for sale only, not for rental...." on unskippable)
:D
My DVD can be set to ignore "user restrictions"
And what about the animated version?
Man I keep lying about my age. I've been 21 for 18 months. Why would you want to be older?

but without having a valid account on the 2K3 Enterprise Server box
What the hell? This is your home router, and you've got a 2000 piece of software running on it?

One which isn't ignored by TPTB?
There aren't any busses or trains between Vancouver and Seattle?
The only way to activate it is by saying "Main Screen Turn On".
You can blame the poll.

Slashdot blocks € signs?
They should use this in weather satelites, then you could say "I can see my house from here!"
As long as there's Music and blasters and old Jedi Masters
