  8. Actually on Dinosaurs Never Held Heads High · · Score: 1
This isn't that new. The Discovery Channel had a series a while back called: "Walking with Dinosaurs". The Computer Animation Designer's had to recreate how they thought a dinosaur would move. The only help they had we're of course fossils. As they developed the way a long neck dinasour could walk they realized that it's neck had to be horizontal, otherwise it's neck would break.

    Just my 2 cents

  11. A 3rd Party? on Should You Vote? · · Score: 1
Now Now. Don't we all know our vote doesn't really matter anyway. It's all about the Electoral College, they choose the president.

But if you want to vote but don't want to vote for Bush and Gore, there is always Nader, Buchanan or Jello Biafra(?).

    Just a suggestion.

  12. How does it feel? on Ask the Presidential Candidates · · Score: 1

This question is primarily aimed toward George W. Bush, and Al Gore:

How can you honestly sleep at night knowing you've spent millions of dollars campaigning for president while people are starving in our country? How come when it comes to being president, millions of dollars can be spent on commercials and various campaing material, but when it comes to feeding the homeless and getting people's lives together it takes donation can's in restuarants and supermarkets to raise money for the hungry?

  17. 2 Worlds on The Right To Read: Time Limited Textbooks · · Score: 1

The more I read Slashdot, the more I feel like we live in two different worlds, with 2 different set of laws. In the "real world" I can buy a book, read it, give it to someone else and they can read it. No law's broken. In the "cyber world" I can read the same book, with time constraints, and I can't let anyone else borrow it. At least the trees will be happy.

  19. The Benefits of Punk on Non-RIAA Record Companies? · · Score: 1

There are sooooo many independent record labels out there that to generate a list would be a diviant task. The punk scene is a haven for independent labels and anti-big business organizations it hurts to think about it. But the problem is not everyone has the taste for punk rock, which is why all of these indie-record labels are labeled so. The major labels know what the majority like, and thats why they are the "major labels". They produce music that the people like and buy. Punk rock record labels produce music that only punks buy. If you're into Metallica, and Dr. Dre and you are anti-major record label, then napster better be your best friend, cuz thats the only way you're gonna hear them. As for punk, CD's are about 10 bux a pop, and most bands would'nt care if people pirated their music, most would probably encourage it so they could get a following. I'd say if you wanted to get the major label music for and still boycott them, burn CD's make tapes.....or listen to punk. Cheers
