    OK . . . now say that the vehicle was designed with a large flat panel on the roof, totalling 4m^2. Now we're up to 10 minutes of driving time per hour of generation time. If I park my car in the sun all day at work, it's more than enough for all of my driving needs.

    2) The "fix" according to the article is not bad at all.. Setting the check in global doesn't amount to 8.7 million hours of lost productivity.

    Three hours of testing for a five-line code change is not unreasonable at all.

    Sorry boss, you're getting paid to know. Spend some time (gasp! outside of work if you need to) and read up. While you're not expected to know every last implementation detail, you should understand the capabilities of your chosen platforms completely.

    If only someone could invent some means of "storing" electricity for long periods of time, or even "generating" it on the fly from other energy sources. Alas, technology still hasn't caught up with Tangurena.
