BTW I'm an American, who lives in Saudi Arabia. The Ramen I eat is an Indonesian bran called "Indomie" and it's so popular here that that's it has replaced "Ramen" as the official name: "Hey anybody in the mood for some Indomie". At home I call it "Oodles o' Noodles" thanks to my American upbringing xD
There used to be this Korean brand that came in red packaging and had black lettering. It would come every now and then; the supplies were erratic for some reason. I loved those the best; they gave bigger helpings, the noodles were bigger and flat and the sauce was red and spicy.
I like to eat it any way possible. And I'm almost always introduced to a new way of eating it whenever I have it at a friend's house. Fried is nice, steam cooked and dry, mixed with assorted veggies and meats. I've returned to eating it as a soup because I haven't had it that way in so long:p Slice up some green onions, some fried egg and whatever left-over meat is in the fridge and it's all good.
Excellent idea:) A few comments about how it currently works:
1. You have to constantly click to lower/incrase the threshold, I found this a lil clumsy as sometimes the threshold would not respond as expected: It would jump upwards if I hit the down arrow. I suggest making the interface draggable; like the audio volume.
2. I notice that when I clicked to reply, but wanted to return back to the thread page; my prefrences were reset and I had to adjust the treshold again. It would be nice if the interface remembered my prefrences
It's really sad; but what it really boils down to is that people just can't stand it when somebody's really successful. It's just not fair that somebody can make so much money off of an idea/skill. And we all have to find one reason or another to hate that person for it...
Whether or not SW sucks is a matter of taste. Whether or not CG makes good effects is also a matter of taste. IMO I think Starwars is a great Saga, and I hope it never ends. And as an aspiring CG artist, I totally dig the direction film making is taking towards using blue screens and CG; the possibilities for creative film-making are now limited only by our imagination...
I enjoyed the original trilogy, I enjoyed the SE, and I enjoy the prequels. I enjoy the video games, and love hanging out at online SW fan websites chattin it up with fellow fans. What got me hooked? The Jedi part of SW. I think the mesh between sci-fi and ancient myth is what got me interested. Lightsabres (a futuristic spin on an ancient weapon), the Force, the mysticism and the ancient style robes... all mixed in with blasters, and land speeders; pure genius.
But anyway, it's all a matter of opinion. Some think SW now sucks, others think it rocks. But I'll tell you this; you have to admire the sheer amount of work that has gone into Starwars, and the depth and detail of the entire Starwars Universe. Here you have a make-believe universe, with different solar systems\planets, cultures, languages, species, races, and religious/political systems; and hence an infinite number of possible stories, and sagas that can be derived from such a rich universe. It's pure genius; whether it is to be liked or not is a matter of opinion.
IMO I couldn't give a rats ass whether or not Greedo shot first. But the edit was clever; and if you truly had a sharp eye, you'd notice that Han's head was made to shift slightly to "dodge" the shot, that would have otherwise blasted his head off. In other words; Greedo's shot was dead-on; he didn't miss by a mile. I see all the other edits in the same light; clever work arounds to show what can be done to old footage... but this is an entirely separate issue that I could rant on for hours.
Anyway, I liked the special edition, because the effects looked much better; and the editions made the movie much more interesting to watch. It really breathed life into some scenes that seemed rather cramped and stuffy; I'm glad that Lucas was finally able to do things the way he really wanted. Although I must admit that the 'Yub Yub!' song at the end should have stayed...
I can't wait for Episode III; and I'll definitely be getting those DVD's
I for one find nanotechnology very interesting. The fact that we will be capable of making "something out of nothing" by manipulating molecules is very exciting. I for one am sick and tired of all the polution caused in the process of making simple items such as plastic cups and spoons. What if we could actually grow plastic cups and spoons? what if we didnt need to distroy thousands of hectars of rain forests to build houses? what if we could grow them??
Think about it. For once we could actually 'produce' something from scratch, without disrupting our natural ecosystem
or burning up reasources.
My friends, nanotechnology simpely is the dawn of a techonological revolution. The purpose is to invent a way to over come our current obsticals; lack of natural reasources, economical problems, increase in consumer demands. And hopefully reverse some of our stupid mistakes; holes in the ozone layer, forest fires, oil spills (I could go on forever), by providing a way to 'produce' our needs from the molecules up. Not only will this discontinue our need for reasources, it will also make more things cheaper with out any reduction in quality; as a matter of fact, if things were designed from the molecules up, products will be 100% flawless!
Well, don't take my word for it, visit The Forsite Institute for the bare details of what I'm talking about. There you can find an electronic book to download that will give you a broader understanding of the subject matter.
I hope you find this subject as interesting as I did. Implementing this technology means major changes in the way we live. Positive changes...
LMAO So true :D

My favorite flavor is "fried noodle".
