Z80 is CISC. Pretty certain a PowerPC is more complex than one of those. The complexity simply refers to the instruction set design. Even "reduced" is something of a misonomer since some RISC processors have more instructions that contemprary CISC devices.
The key point is that RISC devices tend not to have certain types of unneccessary instructions.
Not durable? Well, the two prototypes trackballs I have on my desk may not be as sturdy as moulded plastic, but are plenty robust to handle a fair amount of handling. As long as you're not expecting them to handle extremely rough usage, they should last pretty much indefinitely.
Copyright is somewhat unusual in that it allows you to sell a song several times. There are good reasons for this. Copyright exists as a means of practicality. By offering the creator the exclusive right to sell copies, he can make a living by producing music (or anything else covered by copyright). This is seen as a social benefit. But it exists for practical purpose, not moral purposes. The creator has no moral right to exclusivity. The only moral right they have is that society applies the law to back up the agreement it implictly made when the work was created.
A couple of the tracks from the Wall work as singles (and presumably were released as singles).
I can't imagine someone wanting to download only Shine On You Crazy Diamond part 4, but I guess we might as well let them if they really want to. Perhaps nobody will.
Blackberry has its niche. Windows has a problem that nobody really likes MS so needs to be clearly superior to the competition. You forgot about Symbian. Granted so has everyone else, but Nokia is a good brand from a marketing perspective, is still (I believe) the most popular smartphone OS, so with the right marketing it could succeed.
No. Not under this fucking law. It should fall under the fucking exceptions. I also think that the fucking law should contain some more fucking swearwords to make people know it's fucking serious.
Well, China would have managed to get hold of the planes somehow. They could eventually work out how to make a plane as good as Airbus and Boeing can manage. Perhaps this deal will speed it up and perhaps it won't but this way they definitely made billions and had they not done so they definitely wouldn't.
They're not going to do that.
Nobody cares enough abut youtube, and people are as likely to blame google as their governmnet. Meanwhile other video services that can find a way to work within the law will gain a competitive advantage.
Patenting something just means it's an idea someone came up with. A patent is cheap and it may just be something to use in the future in case they need to defend themselves.
Give them the benefit of the doubt until they actually consider using this.
The patent is on "A method for conducting championship playoff", not on conducting championship playoffs. There's a difference. Do the same general thing in a way that isn't covered by the patent and you're safe. Honestly, I can't see any reaon you have to use the weighted result of polls.
But if you're not going to run anything which is tied to windows, then what's the point paying more for windows?
I think we're on that "nobody ever got fired for buying Windows" thing, or something similar.
What you can be reasonably sure of is that it will be supported for some time (MS isn't going to go bust for a while), at least some third party developers will be producing applications becuase it's easy to find developers who know Windows, and it could become a self fulfilling prophesy that Windows ARM becomes successful because everyone expects it to do so.
They are a huge multinational with practically unlimited resources and a very good reputation as an employer. They can hire just about anyone they want.
And shocking though it may seem, MS come up with some of the best software out there. Their software has a certain level of usability, reliability and responsiveness that 90% of other companies can't manage. Seriously - while you may complain about all sorts of issues, most companies produce stuff that's buggier, bloatier and sometimes completely unusable.
I think Gollum had the advantage of not trying to look too human. He's safely on the the side of the valley. Although could have been that the animators put a lot of work into getting the eyes to look alive. The article notes the eyes are important.

Wouldn't an "A" designation apply though?
One newspaper did just that. This was what prompted him to set up the Nobel prize.

Because you've sold it.

The mp3 album (and I presume CD version) has multiple tracks. Amazon allows you to buy them individually.

Problem seems to be flexibility in interpreting what is and isn't "reasonable".
Well, the amount of data is considerable.
And I'm nit sure if there's reasonable justification to search a wallet either.
Not all parents have a price plan that allows that extra line. Some parents like to allow their kids that little extra freedom.

I was thinking aides of congresspeople. Presumably they'll want to travel with a PA or someone.
That would be $384 in decimal:)
I've used some pretty crappy software on Solaris and Linux as well.
And occasionally some really quite decent software on Windows.
What is it specifically about Windows that you dislike, because I get the feeling this is colouring your perception of the entire company.

They are shit company that produces shit software based on shit ideas, using shit development practices.
This description applies to the majority of developers. Of all the shitty software I use on a regular basis, Microsft's is the least shit.

Didn't Napster do that as well? I thought they did, or that they at least cut off the users who were illegally sharing files.
