Who uses Pascal? Isn't Java or .NET the new Pascal?

  4. Re:Third party apps on Microsoft to Launch 64-bit Windows on Monday · · Score: 1
    • How do you get 32 bit GTK apps to actually find the libraries in /usr/lib32.

If you want to run a 64-bit system and maintain 32-bit backwards compatability, then the 32-bit libraries must be stored in /lib and /usr/lib; that way you can load any 32-bit app even if it wasn't compiled for a 32-bit + 64-bit environment. The 64-bit libraries are in /lib64 and /usr/lib64.

Maybe you should try Fedora Core 3, which solves this problem?

    • I miss things a lot of the little things (like the flash plugin) that were never compiled for a 64 bit system.

Run the 32-bit version of Firefox all of your plugins will start working again.

How about this for a first step, not quite what is described above, but close.

I've been teleworking almost exclusively, and I can move from computer to computer, install a VNC viewer, and the VPN software to connect to a computer that I use as my desktop at work.

What I really need to do is setup a knoppix or mandrake-move style CD with my VPN software (proprietary) and a VNC client.

Isn't the right to bear arms in the US sacred? I guess these things are somehow different than guns in terms of the potential misuses.
