    I don't know what to think. I mean, yay! someone is actually attacking aol, but then again, it really is stupid to hold the internet provider responsible for what the people do. Then agian it's stupid to hold the people resoponsible, then again, they're getting in trouble for violating stupid laws. Sigh, stupid, stupid copyright laws...

    Actually, they've been there for a long time. They have a drill set up bring up tubes of ice, I think they have about 2 km of it. They haven't broken through yet, obviously. The meathod the scientists are thinking of is using a remote controled robot, sterilized, that would melt it's way down, the water refreezing behind it, the heated water constantly sterilizing it. If I reme,ber, the lake was formed when a glacier moved in, the glacer was about 3 km thick, and it acted as an isulator for the Earth's heat, which melted the bottom and is compleatly sterle from the outside world, or it has been for a few million years. I posted awile ago on this during some discussion, I dont remeber. Facinating really.

    I think the deepest flaw in Christianity is their belif that A-they know everything and B-god in omnipotent. someone could create life, earth whatever and not be perfect or even all powerful. maybe it was some geeky alien with a petri dish who created us...

    Think about it this way: extinction and the following evolution has come up with us. There you go, proof that it does work. If any of past extinctions hadn't taken place, we just may not be here. Mother nature has succeded in making a species that can trancend evolution's rules. We can leave the planet, (soon) force our own evolutions, and we can think. Bravo mother nature.

    GAH! i forgot. it was on the discovery science channel, i cant offer much more info but it did focus on some wierd evolutionary paths of fish. i checked their website and got nothing, but if i ever see it again i'll email you with info

    i belive it is. awhile ago i was watching a program on evolution, and it talked about 6 or seven major extinctions in the history of life on earth, wiping out 70-90 precent of life, causing more species to evlove faster. an expert was talking about how we may be in the middle of another one right now, based on the rate of extinction of species.

    Will he feel regret for not being wanted? maybe. or maybe he will be thankful for his creation. He wouldnt exist were his kidney not needed. Also, I'll bet the practice will be to grow the individual organ/limb as needed, not a whole body

    I think it will be interesting, because when a human is cloned we'll find out. We're quickly closing down what Religion can explain and not science to the beginning.

    I like your argument. Unless someone decides clones are property of the person they are a copy of, which i DOUBT, how are they diffrent than a test tube baby. Now if they can make full grown bodies...

    I hate to be arguing for religion here but whatever. Its quite simply why (assuming there is a reason) evil exists. If everything was Green, you would have no concept of Green. You need a little Red for comparison....however this brings up the question of why so much Red.

    But it would be interesting to see if this ability would give rise to conciousness. What if they were simply programed to record EVERY thing it sees and refrence it when it does it (I know, to many its) I think this is at least worth a try.

    The argument of TV making you more capable of violence is not nearly as close and real as witnessing someone die. I don't know any numbers, but I'll bet that they don't support that people who witness violent acts are more prone to commiting them.
