well, the tacher that has had the most infulence on my life would be my freshman year of high school humanities teacher, DuBios. He never really did work, we just spent the two hours a day discussing things, and I learned more in his class than any other. Plus, he got me into/.
it's not the database, yes, it would be very useful in solving many crimes. the real problem is that governments aka persons in power are quite often currupt, and the society IS corrupt, and we don't wish to aid it in it's domminance of us.

interesting point, but somehow i think that the police wouldnt use emp weapons untill they have ones useful against small, isolated targets. scary, none the less...
well, smart. sending a thousand 2 pound little bugers with only one tool a pice? personaly, i think if they're going to mimmic ants, they should try to mimic size as well, and use a swarm of them. just makes more sense to me i guess.

Its in antartica, about the size of lake ontario, but it is under a glacier 4000 meters thick. Scientists think that the lake has been covered for between 500000 to 1 million years. They also belive that life exists down there, the heat from the earth is enough to sustain life the think. Maybe when we discover whats down there, we can have a refrence for other subteranian oceans.

Napster CANT screen music. If you had, or even read the whole article you'd know that. Napster just provides access to other peoples files, the copywrite infringement is witht he people that have the files, but hey, the riaa gave up the right to prosecute individuals for royaltys on mp3 players
Not really on topic, but one idea ive always played with is what if math is wrong? obviously most of what we know about the universe we get from math, we havent been observing it long enough to see all thease things. wouldnt it be funny if someone finds a fatal flaw in mathmatics and all of what we think we know has to be redefined. just something i think interesting
Possible, but the article says the planets are very young, i think they said 5 million years old. i dont know if thats long enough for a star to burn out though.
Maybe if you were to burn mp3s on cds, then you could get all the mp3s you wanted, and it would be easy to get, all you would have to do is get an cd playing jukebox and fit it to play mp3s. Might be a little hard to find songs on tho.
