this is really news, I just waited about two years to see something like this. I actually wrote a small app. that does something like this about 1.5 years ago http://www.mulliner.org/bluetooth/#bjod.
Just as a note: everybody can use his/her h6315 ipaq as a GSM/WiFi phone. I do it since I have my h6315. The software is free and it works great all over the place.
I've been a long time palm user (since 1997) and I just switched to a Pocket PC device. It's not that I like Pocket PC but the hardware (the features) is so much better. You just get more for the same money. I really hate to say it but Palm will be dead if they don't change their strategy to better hardware with more features. The OS is good but that alone doesn't make it. For myself I go with a good piece of hardware with a bad OS then vice versa. I hope they make something good out of the deal with this chinese company they bought.
You can activate authentication - when authentication is active you just get a popup and need to confirm the connection (yes|no). This doesn't make the communication more difficult it just makes it more secure.
The Nokia 7650 is differnet and should be secure as long as nobody then you has physical access to it. All OBEX communications (the stuff that is buggy) needs to be accepted by you and this is for the communication to start (not like other phones - do you want to save "exploit"? *BANG*)
Nokia is not the only phone maker with broken or stupid bluetooth implementations. Just look at the Siemens S55 which by default (when bluetooth is on) accpets any kind of files and saves them to your phones inbox. Also it has several bugs, like the Nokia. I'm have setup a small website (http://www.betaversion.net/btdsd/) with a currently very small list of bluetooth capable phones with there security settings and bugs. I tell you bluetooth will be real fun in the future:-)
I thinks WAP really sucks... you can't do anything interesting/usefull with it. Just compare a WAP phone with a PalmVII... the display is to small the user interface is really userunfriendly and so on...
I'm a programmer, I also use open source stuff for my work. But it's my job to write programms and I need the money I get for this. I would like to put all my stuff under the GPL (or any other open licens...) but for this I won't get any money... so f**k, you have to pay for using my stuff. You should do the same, make it cheap and everything is ok!

Schlund+Partner AG and 1&1 Internet AG, they have build a nice testing system and operate a hugh blacklist (sadly non public) here is the link
just yesterday I did compile a list with all movies on this subject that I know of, with a short rating and a feature list.
I use something very similar, MessageWall(.org). This is a smtp proxy with excellent filtering. So no need for something new.
In Germany it is legal to sell and buy region free DVD players...

Hi, I think we just need a new root registry, with the spirit of the open source community. thanks ... Collin
it should use the open standars like vcf/vcal, Palm support ! (open connectivity, etc...) thanks ... Collin
just go back to school ...
just get some people and buildup an alternative domain system ... many people would use this ... and nobody could control this system ...
Just talk to a real person, this will make you feel so bad you instantly remember everything ...
I think .GNU / .GPL / .OSS / etc. is more important than .sex / .xxx, so why not ?!?
Just use webmaster@domain.com, this account mostly exists and somebody will read all the mail send to this account ;-)
