As a former Biology student, I can tell you these chips really aren't evolving. True evolution, would be having the hardware grow into different designs, adding more cells, halfing itself, or growing an A/D converter or something right smack in da middle of itself. Not changing which cells it uses to make itself more streamlined or efficent. What we are dealing w/ is a finite set of possiblities here and true evolution is INFINITE!
Just my take...Of course I was a sucky Bio major, hence I code.

We don't need to worry about security on these wireless devices! Most of the ones that are setup have full blown access to anyone passing by due to a lack of FULL configuration!
Tom says, "No! Stop! it's working... I'm on the net! And I can see the fileserver. Don't mess with it!"
Totally agree, our system rules are based on the almighty buck (aka CAPITALISM!) and inorder for them to make money they'll try and do it anyway they can.
Not that I'm sideing w/ Amazon.com mind you. But I won't hold it against them for trying.
Just like I won't hate/harbor bad feelings against the guy who tries to break into my house and steal all of my beer & computer equipment...(but I will blow him away all the same!)

Also, think of the implications in debugging which board/circuit went bad?? If they can do this cheap enough, we could have our electronics tell us which section went bad based on what color it's emitting!
Yet another milestone to StarTrek!

Just think, you'll be able to tell how your bot is doing based on the different colors emitting from its cranium!
Very scary! I'd imagine in the next 30 years you'd focus your webcam at a cut on your finger to get the 911 operator's opinion on whether or not to send the EMTs to your house or should you drive yourself to the hospital...
As more people jump online as the article states we'll slowly be doing more and more online! Part of the slump was all of the early businesses that started up and couldn't hold on for the motherlode. Wait a while, and see how it flowers...
They use big fancy lawyers and develop deceitful rules/laws for their own benefit. Nice to see them [corporations] getting a spoonful of the same crap they feed us! I'd be willing to bet that this is just the beginning of the 'Wording Games' and as more people understand the power of the laws they've helped to pass, we'll soon see them have no real impact on the way folks operate!
As a programmer, I usually don't have the luxury of enjoying the nightlife. I like working 24/7 and my idea of 'downtime' is fragging a Quake Rookie (or reading/.)
However, location is very important to me and Utah would be one of the LAST places I'd voluntarily move to. The Liquor laws are just one part of it. I'm usually a 'Coastee' and need my salt water oceans to feel at home. Not to mention the one time I went to Utah to visit my sister, I almost died! the drivers in Utah suck!( And I'm not even going to mention the fat chicks!)
So rry...QwkHyenA=Pig. But, that's what therapy is for!
These last few (okay several!) posts are just what I'm looking for! I need to know more about the 'Process' of S/W development versus the actual coding part. I've got the coding part down pretty well, but the management/timelines/work env$ parts are getting tricker to deal with and are only getting worse.
I think I have enough reference material to fill a small library (when I walk into Barnes&Nobles, they meet me at the door with a Latte:)
I will look into the book Programming Pearls thou.
I'm looking more for ways to keep our shop operating smoothly and keep us all from straying off the project path (i.e. Who's doing what, is anyone breaking someones else's code and are we using enough comments?!:P)
If I only had 100 yrs of Solitude! I get more folks walking in asking what's up with the router, is my system ready yet, why won't Outlook export my Calendar? and my favorite...Is the mail server down? Then actual quite time...Coding time...
Just my take...Of course I was a sucky Bio major, hence I code.
Don't stop now you're on a roll....
Please continue...

Everyone knows we need pictures AND links! I've got the attention span of a 4 year old! That's what makes me a good programmer...

I watch what my parents do when they go online and it amazes me! They'll double click on anything and follow ANY link emailed to them!
Agreed. too true.
EXACTLY!!! That's what I'm talking about!
As this article states 'Authorized' and 'licensed' too many times for me!
I can see it now, Microsoft has just now 'OpenSourced' Windows 2000. But only if you're stamped, approved, authorized, certified and licensed?

Great! Broke another one!
I hope they make'm cheap! at this rate, I'll need 3 every week!

Well...Guess it's time to download ShareBear!
Now that would be progress
