    First company to produce a modem for a console (with the Saturn NetLink) Actually untrue the sega genesis had xband which was a modem that would allow 2 players over dialup course you could only use the xband service not your existing isp.

    Dont feel bad about the cpu setting it took me a week to figure out why 2.4.0-test10 wouldnt boot, seems i did the same thing left it on a P3 when im a P2.

    perhaps a symbollic link to prefix/share/dpkg/license? and in with dpkg have it copy the gpl license to prefix/share/dpkg/license? and have it contain all versions of the gpl license in prefix/share/dpkg/ under license1 license2 license3?

    Problem with this is servers can go down. Its very hard for a license.txt to crash.

    If I remember correctly beos does some funky stuff with ring3 code so itl'l be a while before a complete port of plex86 to beos is done.

    Someone is working on this now in the form of Freeze and Thaw plugins he even had it freezing but not yet thawing out the saved file but Kevin said now is not the time to do something like that eventually it will be completed but right now there working on speed.

    look for the windows emulator twin it didnt run to well last i tried but probably about as well as wine did but it includes a complete x86 emulator which means running windows programs on mac, dunno if its being actively developered tho.

    This was discussed on the mailing list some time ago and i believe ibm actually has something like this already for x86 virtualiziation but owns a patent on it and it was decided it would be easier to run on top of linux so you wouldnt have to develop a whole new set of drivers for every peice of hardware out there for this new os.

    Are there any plans to virtualize (or emulate) MMX stuff in Plex86? or any other extensions to the x86 hardware like that and whats the timetable as far as network card emulation in plex86?

    I did not like the Dune Miniseries the settings looked more like a videogame than a movie the worms were cheesy as were the settings and the actors rushed there lines out which made it look unbelievable and in the original dune movie you could here what they said in there head you lose a lot without that.

    Telnet is more basic than ssh and ssh isnt just for admin it supports ftp and you can tunnel stuff through it.

    uhhhhh just open installer.ini it has a list of different ftps right there and i think the install shows what site its downloading from.

    I think this is somewhat like a wind powered device dont think theres to much of a prob with eco unfriendly stuff and its a renewable power source so i think only thing needed to be worried about is fish getting sucked into the turbine or something silly like that.
