    I use netflix and amazon VOD and vudu as well as Steam and the multitude of other pay services around the web.
    I still use well over 300GB per month.

    I'd imagine some ISPs are enforcing their caps.

    Comcast decided to counter the flood of online services like netflix by setting up their own netflix CDN. Just can't get SuperHD or 3D yet.

    The real problem.

    My last Nokia phone was the N80 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N80
    Immediately after that, I had a t-moble G1 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-Mobile_G1
    There were a handful of apps in the android market.

    The G1 was really a ton of bricks crashing down on Nokia who didn't seem to notice.

    The Nexus one cemented android's place in the market.
    Nokia's response? the N8 running a symbian operating system.
    Even then, they didn't get it. Working for a year to release the N9 on meego.

    Fail after fail for nokia. It was a slow death. I'm surprised they held on this long.

    and the kicker, after all their fail, they still released symbian phones this year.

    listen up AC, it wasn't only videos that you've loaded onto the device.

    Koush's work included DIALing anything with a media class. That included any video or audio capable app.

    And that's why the loophole is closed.

    But it is the style of those content providers whose apps leave messages like, "This content is not available on mobile"
    and "You cannot play content while a second display is enabled"

    And if you could cast any media class, then all of a sudden, those messages just wouldn't matter.
    And content providers would pull their apps claiming they no longer have control over where it's displayed.

    Because some apps have a policy whereby they won't work if a second display or HDMI is enabled. And this would get around that.

    Such as my comcast app not working if HDMI is plugged in.

    While content owners have a right to determine who has access to their content, choosing where in my home is a step too far.

    It's more complex than that. It has more to do with the cognitive skill of writing vs the technical skill of typing. Your brain has a better chance of remember things that are being written than things being typed. There's more time to remember it and the action is more similar to how you're going to do the classwork.

    As for the summary of tfa, the study's author did not hypothesize using a laptop leads to multitasking. He speculated it. He hypothesized that using a laptop to take notes results in lower grades on classwork.

    I completely agree. That said, the billing systems already have this function built in. Hospitals and other health care providers want to track what they're owed and by whom.

    Stating their systems don't have this functionality is a bald faced lie. Congress should try some due diligence.

    The current model kinect doesn't require that motor to function. Only for initial tracking. You can point the camera yourself.

    Maybe it might be a good thing for Sergey and Larry to go to jail. They have the resources to make the government look stupid and tie them up for years in court.

    They also have the resources to embarrass the hell out of these politicians.

    They don't want a repeat of the PBS Kids Super Why app debacle, where they had inexperienced developers design a very static ui which really didn't scale at all. The app worked on a single device on android 2.2
