    you are seriously arguing listing out usable space when a large fraction of it is used by from the factory is a bad thing?

    1%-5% used up - that is accounted as overhead by most people.

    50% used up, that's not fucking overhead any more.

    A factory worker in China can make up to as much as a pilot. A unionized pilot in USA for one of the big airlines makes $250k to $500k.

    If you gave me that to work in a factory, I'd go.

    Guess what happens in China? They save up their money, and in 3-5 years go back to their home town rich, and start their own business.

In a world where there's multiple production lines by multiple companies, you are telling me if one factory concentrates solely on touch screens (which is a minuscule portion of the overall display market), they will be able to make touch screens cheaper than another factory that concentrates on non-touch screens?

    I think you missed the point where these new screens with touch elements cost heck of a lot more than standard LCDs.
