    I do realize that :) Not too many people can have a computer or phone that is fully under their control, especially if it's work provided. But all mine are installed from media (openbsd, debian, osx, and even windows).

    I would be screwed if something like On Trusting Trust happens, but then they could just man-in-the-middle the transactions anyway.

    Assuming no one can hack SSL, and I do not login from unknown computers, what will 2 factor do for me? Any computer I use to check gmail is fully under my control.

    1) no man-in-the-middle sniffing
    2) no key logger sniffing
    3) assuming no one steals the password file from Google
    4) my gmail password is not used elsewhere.

    And you think a thought experiment by Apple's designers matters what in a Samsung case?

    Now, if this was Apple suing Sony, then Sony might have a solid defense "see, even Apple thinks we design phones like that, haha". But this is not Sony, this is Samsung with crappy designs in the past suddenly having world class designs that their own people say look like copies of the iPhone.

    You appear to think that having a clean environment is a useless thing, but I do not.

    If you feel that competition from overseas is a problem, talk to your law provider and ask them to put in a law so that any out sourced manufacturing have to meet the same environmental protections we have here.

    I'm not sure which world you live in, but you can either have non-govt provided healthcare (so you pay $$$ or pay insurance $$$) or you can have govt provided healthcare (in which case, you pay with taxes).

    What other choices are there, other than fairy dust and unicorn horns?

    You haven't been following the recent releases from the lawsuits, have you?

    June 2010 to June 2012, they only sold 21 million infringing (ie, Android) smartphones phones in USA (does not cover windows phones, etc).

    Same time period, Apple sold 60 million iphones (though I think that's world wide). So all those "Samsung outside Apple X to 1" headlines are bullshit.

    Seeing that most states have sales tax of between 5%-12%, are you saying that this family with 5 children are living on $20k/year? That's below the fucking poverty line - and you still want to tax the shit out of them? You are a heartless bastard in addition to being a fucking idiot and a damned liar.

    So, to summarize: Child tax credit does not give you money, only reduces your tax burden to IRS. And you're a fucking idiot.
