Changing the brand-name to gnu-linux would also fix things. You put the legal on the brand. Then the legal is implicit in the brand. Make people learn the legal once per brand... Hey! what a timesaver that would be.

If the common man can relate to the activities made possible by HIS money then he will be more willing for you to use HIS money for that and other scientific applications. Think WIN - WIN people. Unix platform vendors like IBM and Sun already offer their Unix OSs at virtually no charge. Wrong. The cost of vendor lock in is high.
