The contracting company can claim H1Bs are required because the current employees are not actually looking for jobs. And of course, quitting en mass wouldn't help because the H1Bs have already been approved.
The employees should trash Disney's systems. Completely and totally cripple them. Using time bombs that trigger after they are certain to be gone. Blame can always be laid at the incompetent H1Bs.
That really depends on your environment. Apple's policy with Cocoa is to only throw exceptions for programmer errors. Additionally, the state of the SDK is undefined after an exception is thrown. That may affect only the class instance that threw the exception, but there are no promises either way. Continuing after an exception may lead to data corruption.
I am a big fan of this approach, because programmers are lazy. If the program doesn't crash on trivial programmer errors, the bugs won't be addressed.
I have seen, and heard of other cases, where doctors' offices put up a sign in the waiting area that non-vaccinated children should be kept in a different place (another room or the hall, depending on what's available), so as not to endanger other children who are obviously at the doctor because they are already immuno-compromized (i.e. sick).
...for translation memories (TMs) to keep up with current usage.
I don't understand people who do this. There is no purpose to defining an abbreviation at this point because the comment ends. Neither the phrase nor the abbreviation is mentioned again.
What's stopping AMD from buying a few copies of something using the GameWorks engine and profiling it? I am sure AMD developers are quite skilled with kernel-mode debuggers and would have no problem figuring out what the engine is doing. This is not illegal, no matter what crap is in the EULA of the game.
Actually, iOS allows an app to have multiple application windows. iOS has had multi-monitor support since forever. What you meant to write is that iOS does not display multiple apps on the same screen.
Right. No need to have facts or to conform to reality. We can just make up trite little phrases and console ourselves with our feelings of superiority.
I have a better idea: kill yourself. You'll feel better.
Which Universe do you live in? Modern France is younger than the US. I very much doubt the French nobility had the same view of labor, and the economics were so different that any observations would have been entirely meaningless.
I just tried on my iPhone... Siri launched Waze on the first try.

The GP is a perfect example of his own signature.
If you don't like that then you should bite the bullet and get your kids the shot.

I see you don't know what trust is.
What kind of hick college gives a degree in computer programming?
Really? Are you also shocked to find out that you are a complete ignoramus and a total shit head, to boot?
What alternatives?
EQ was dead long before WoW came on the scene. EQII went live after WoW.
EFI does not run with more privileges than the OS.
Just go kill yourself. You'll feel better.

Android apps are allowed direct access to the frame buffer? Eek! Even our favorite punching bag, Windows, hasn't allowed that since Windows 95.
Defensive much? He didn't say there were any use cases. He did, however, accurately describe how iOS allows apps to gain background processing time.
It's nice to know we can rely on the Anonymous Cow-patty to be wrong and insulting at the same time.

Funny that. Updating stuff that the OS does requires updating the OS. Who knew?
