Huh? How does JB an iPhone weaken the security in a way that Android is not similarly weakened? Running code as root is running code as root. Android doesn't include SELinux policies, you know.
That's still better than preferring utterly incomprehensible user interfaces that have 17 ways to perform the same action, but with no overlap so you have to know the specific way for each app you have installed.
Perhaps you have this reaction because you have the intelligence of a used tissue.
Specifically, they should be bringing in people who have experience with every type of system out there and rate it in terms of usability in comparison with everything else.
I think the point is that it's irrelevant. Stereotypes often have a certain amount of truth to them. If this one does as well, it makes the manufacturers money, and that's all they care about. If you want that to stop, change the stereotype.
Code which divides by zero is not "horribly" broken. At worst, it's simply missing a test and branch. It's perfectly legitimate to have code which is general which has an input for which zero is a valid value. As division by zero is not mathematically defined, it's simply up to the developer to assign a context-specific result. That's it. No need to go off about supposed horribleness.
That is simply false. There are an infinite number of algorithms that might contain the (sub)expression X/X for which zero is a valid value of X. To assume it's a programming error is sheer unmitigated stupidity that I might expect from a mathematician that has never written a real program in his life.
You're a moron. Look at the first tab in the App Store app. Games are heavily promoted - more so than any other category. The App of the Week is almost always a game. Apple most definitely does not treat games as "just another app category".

You deserve to die painfully. Your parents deserve to be tortured for not aborting you when they had the chance. Your siblings should be shunned just for being related to you. You are truly a scourge upon humanity.
Oh, you're also an ignorant and stupid piece of shit.

Have you actually worked at a Fortune 100? Because I have, and I haven't met a manager who was both cavalier with expensing and had the authority to do so. Maybe 20-30 years ago, but not now.

I'm sure it will. After all, Apple has more money in the bank than God and a stock price to please anyone. Their "pre-90's hubris" hurt them a lot; we can tell.
Apparently you came pre-dumbed-down. Though you probably never had more intelligence than my water bottle to begin with, so it's not really accurate to add "down".
You can't actually quit apps through Finder anyway, so you obviously have no fucking clue how a OS X works.
That's doesn't even make a little bit of sense.

I need to be able to pull another battery out of my pocket, insert it, and keep going.
There has never been a consumer phone on the market where this was possible.

Why? How does that help that at all?

I was riding to work one day and woke up in the hospital. Without my helmut, it's quite likely I would never have woken up at all.
Are you really that much of a fucking moron, or do you just play one on slashdot?
1^2=1; (-1)^2=1; 1^2=(-1)^2; 1=-1; 1=0.

You are pretty much the poster child for "retarded ass-whit".
I'd feel for your wife, but you clearly will never have one.
You aren't a professional developer then, making your opinion on this topic less than useless.
I'll get right on it!
Oh wait... no... I am not an Apple developer. Right. Sorry.
Perhaps you should post these suggestions where an Apple dev might actually see them?
I'd think the difficulty is in dealing with input.

Patents wouldn't prevent publishing a standard.
The whole Apple developer world will rejoice when Apple finally writes all the documentation needed.

You deserve to die in a most horrible and painful manner -- just for being the most stupid poster on slashdot.
I'd say any offspring eaten by its parent was, by definition, too weak to survive ;)
