    That's still better than preferring utterly incomprehensible user interfaces that have 17 ways to perform the same action, but with no overlap so you have to know the specific way for each app you have installed.

    Specifically, they should be bringing in people who have experience with every type of system out there and rate it in terms of usability in comparison with everything else.

    I think the point is that it's irrelevant. Stereotypes often have a certain amount of truth to them. If this one does as well, it makes the manufacturers money, and that's all they care about. If you want that to stop, change the stereotype.

    Code which divides by zero is not "horribly" broken. At worst, it's simply missing a test and branch. It's perfectly legitimate to have code which is general which has an input for which zero is a valid value. As division by zero is not mathematically defined, it's simply up to the developer to assign a context-specific result. That's it. No need to go off about supposed horribleness.

    That is simply false. There are an infinite number of algorithms that might contain the (sub)expression X/X for which zero is a valid value of X. To assume it's a programming error is sheer unmitigated stupidity that I might expect from a mathematician that has never written a real program in his life.

    You're a moron. Look at the first tab in the App Store app. Games are heavily promoted - more so than any other category. The App of the Week is almost always a game. Apple most definitely does not treat games as "just another app category".
