I'm sick of liberals whining about "sweat shops" and how children in Third World countries are being paid a dollar a day to put together sneakers for ten hours straight. Of course, if it wasn't for that dollar, the child would probably just curl up in a ball and die...
Just like they were doing before the United States.
Sorry if that offends leftists, but profit is why we are where we are today.
    So thats who to blame!
Nike are working hard to feed poor children
..............I hope this was just a bad joke.

Well, your obviously right on all things that you mentioned. But I think also one of the issues is control. The RIAA can control what stations play and how often. We cant have people deciding for themselves what they listen to, can we? I have a friend who works in entertainment, he tells me all the time "People dont know what they like, they like what they know."

Thats the point, Bill's school of business doesnt work. If it dosent work for the consumer, it dosent work. And what does a private citizens back account have to do with anything? You should have asked me "Why dont you open any code that you've written or anything that you have made?" I gladly will, I wouldn't dream of making something and not sharing it with the rest of the world for free. As for my email, It was about asking for more technical info on the card. Info that would have helped me make an informed decision. Oh, but wait, nVnidia dosent want an informed consumer, they want mindless drones, such as yourself. I'm sorry, but using greed as an excuse for rude business tactics is not acceptable. I suggest that you go find instructions that tell you how to properly remove your head from your ass.

  10. Re:How do *you* define "easier"? on Miguel Says Unix Sucks! · · Score: 1
Actually, I find bash/vi/gcc/... to be far easier and faster than any Windows equivalent (most particluarly Explorer/vc++). I think most people think the way they do because people told them that was the way it is. How many times do people have to hear "Windows is easier that *nix." before they really start believing it? That said, what do you think is going through the mind of the average user when he/she fist sits down at a *nix box? Lets just say it dosent take a GNU/Linux user to figure that out!

"do you think that a bulldozer is easier to operate than a shovel? it also has a longer learning curve. if i then say 'how long will it take you to dig your pond using your shovel as compared to my bulldozer?' then i'm not talkin ease of use but rather power. the shovel is still easier."

Thats a rather poor analogy. Chris Williams
