A couple of weeks ago I read a report on countries' political corruption (as perceived by the respective countries' citizens). It's interesting to note that Iceland and Finland are in the top 5 in the both surveys. The U.S. ranks at #16 in this survey but some large European countries that scored well on press freedom (Germany and France) did not do so well on corruption (7th and 11th (press), 18th and 25th (corruption), respectively). (But I suppose I could be reading a little too far into this!)

While poking around the Knowledge Base I found an article Q276304 discussing this error message which pops up under certain circumstances when changing your password in Win2k:
"Your Password Must Be at Least 18770 Characters and Cannot Repeat Any of Your Previous 30689 Passwords"
I have been hounding people who have weak passwords on the network I administer and it's been tough getting people to come up with 8 character passwords!
A couple of years ago I had a Korean studen living with me and he was surprised to see I did not have broadband! (I was still using dial-up then.) He said that DSL was available to almost anyone who wants it in Korea. I was kinda skeptical at the time but I guess they have a pretty good system.
...the world's only supersonic passenger jet, Concorde
The Tupolev TU-144 was the another supersonic passenger jet. Build by the Ruissians to compete with the Concorde, it was pulled out of service after an embarrising crash at the Paris Air Show in 1973.
I read a press release a year or so ago saying they just finished fitting a space shuttle with Debian Linux. I also think that it said all the other shuttles were set to be fitted with Linux eventually. As far as Mir and other international space projects I have no idea.

I doubt you would feel a turn any more than in other aircraft because you would yaw to keep from sliding around in the seats.
