  2. That's not why I cut the cord. on Freenet 0.3 Released · · Score: 1

I just didn't want to trip on the cord as I was bringing the set out to the trash. I have a half eaten squash and a pair of canvas shoes that my cat pissed on going out to the trash this week. Keep your eyes open!

  3. Does not matter. on Next Generation of Gnutella · · Score: 1

"gPulp" is an unconventional spelling, and a trademark of sorts. Journalistic writing standards do not have to follow every silly-assed spelling gimmick. "Gpulp" would be the way a newspaper (at least until recently) would spell it.

  4. You must be a devil with the ladies! on What's That In Your Keyboard? · · Score: 1

Everybody knows that girls love anal retentive guys!
So keep pulling out the alcohol swabs to wipe your hand after touching doorknobs, store your urine in jars, and keep plenty of rubber gloves around in case you get a chance to touch a woman.

  5. Wrong! Nation-States have not rules for centuries. on Sovereign Individual (Part One) · · Score: 1

Nation-states are a unique creation of the twentieth century. They were in part developed as a way for for retreating imperial powers to keep the peace in their former colonies. It has had almost precisely the opposite effect, as political borders are imprecise and minority ethnic groups (nations) exist within the new countries(states.) Pakistan-India, Kosovo, Angola, Nigeria, Rwanda, even Belgium all feel the pain of imposed borders and imprecise Nation-Statehood.

  8. Turn off images on Online Rights And Real World Censorship? · · Score: 2

A local library when faced with this issue simply turned off images in Netscape. Lynx was considered as an alternative, but rejected because the interface was confusing to the non-enlightened.

You couldn't be more wrong. In fact, I am suprised by the lack of gaming news on /..
People I know like computers, comics, anime, and gaming. All topics (to some extent) covered on /. with the notable exception of gaming.
While this is technically a movie topic post, maybe it's a sign of things to come.

You know when you go to the movies, and you get a blue raspberry Icee? Check out your teeth in the mirror after finishing it.
Or if you can find a Tron video game machine, stand in the light eminating from the purple plastic border. Smile big! It will all become apparent.
Don't worry, we were all "newbies" once!
