    Yes in fact some games suppost special VGA modes and the dreamcast has internal hardware to generate a vga signal it's not just a converter box.

    Don't think it is too realistic but the Apple ][ gs has a partial implementation of Unix called gno/me . Since the 2gs runs on the same processor........

    If any other company in the world released a console as easy to hack as the xbox looks to be everyone on slashdot would be foaming at the mouth to port linux to it. What the hell is the point? I mean seriously I have netBSD for my DreamCast but who gives a shit. All the support for the PS2 on slashdot is kinda hypocritical considering Sony is damn near a monopoly on everything in japan. I wish I had gotten mod today just so I could mod down as many fuckwits and laggots as possible!

    There is an excellent prot being done of synchronet up on sourceforge. It may not be obl/2 but I used it quite a bit in windows and am looking forward to the linux version.

    Um after you install xp it will ask if you want to install the java vm everytime you try to run an applet and if you use windows update java vm is listed there as well.

    Exactally....now imagine how much more we could do with the computers we have these days.....
    Also once you have a working "DOS" built on a natural language parser it wouldnt take long before we could turn that into a voice recogniztion system.....think how cool that would be. "Hal go check my email".
