No it does not, the old versions did.
The program that causes the problem will be shut down and the server keeps running, you just see a myserver[1]:
prompt where the number is the number of times it has crashed since reboot. If that happens you might want to check under/etc/console.log
I have been using it for some time so there's another application I can move from my notebook to my "real" workstation:-)
Another thing, it's version 0.93.0. Is it just me or are all these messenger services around afraid of the big 1.0?
Sigh, another troll.:)
I'd might give you a proper answer if you wasn't a Anonymous Coward, because some of us live in the real world where everything is not Linux. Grow up
I have tried it too and the fact that you can't start up in DOS, bugs me a lot. Specially when it went crashed on me once and wanted to do a scandisk in GUI. The only problem was that there was a program (somewhere) that kept on making disk access so scandisk started over and over and....
So I cound not start up in DOS and avoid it, sigh. But I am afraid to say that i runs faster and is a lot more stable than Win98 and the crash it made was because of a overclocked GeForce;-)
Still, I fear when I have to start making customer support on this.
Well, now I am going to find a way to boot on that WinSE partition without GUI.

It seems to me that it has done them some good. According to their webtracker they had 2880 visitors July 31 and 32534 visitors August 4 when the article was posted on CNET.
They also gained 12000 daily visitors when they were linked to from./:-)
Everything is politics here on/. Mostly it's OS religion in high gear so I have gotten used to it.
I think it can work here because every article has the author on it(well mostly) and if you know./ you also know where the most regular posters stand. >>I know this is basically the wrong forum,
I am not from the US but I have heard the candidates and it seems like they think that their voters are stupid sheep. No matter who wins, it is gonna be a horrible 4 years.
If you were to install every single RPM you could find, then, yes you would have a very open server with lots of security holes.
But you see, I only install those programs needed for the server to perform the tasks needed, so a lot of security problems that gets discovered, don't apply to me.
Do'h, the site is still/.
Anyway, I could use something like that when I am designing webpages, something that could show me what it looks like in different browsers on different operating systems. Does that exist?
It's hard(impossible?) to install different versions of fx. msie on the same windooze.
Anyway whats bugging me more is that most people don't know how the WWW looked in the early versions, and what's even worse, to 98% of all people the internet is just the web, argh.
Oh well, I guess it takes a geek to get upset about that.:-)
As with any project, you need to define the borders(/interface?) between each part of the system. You can never avoid it 100% but you can limit it by doing this. It will also help you when you need to debug errors. Get any book about project management, it's a classic scenario of how things can go wrong. ---
