  1. Most Common Files Downloaded From Me This Week on Gnutella2 Specs - Part 1 · · Score: 2, Informative

Granted, this is off of the FastTrack network, but the information is still valid.

    1. Dungeon Siege Demo
    2. Day of Defeat Patch (Halflife Mod)
    3. Alias Season 2 episode 1

Note that two of these are definitely freely distributable. The third one is not available anywhere else - and I have yet to hear of a big* hubbub concerning TV shows.

*there is a small hubbub, but nobody REALLY seems to care - I'll let you speculate as to why that is

I saw "means at are disposal". Don't they have the squiggly green underlines?

  3. Why didn't you just copy and paste the whole thing on Are Games Turning Kids Into Jocks? · · Score: 1

I read this earlier in the week. Why did I just waste my time?

  4. Web Sites in books on Net Cemetery · · Score: 1

This is probably a little off topic but I need to complain for a second:

What's the deal with websites listed in books? Have you ever tried to go back to one of those websites from like 4 years ago? They don't last. They turn into "buy the updated version of the book". What kind of crap is that?

    Okay, that's good for now.

  5. here's an idea... on Homebrew Gameboy Advance Lighting Project · · Score: 1

Why don't we just hire somebody to hold one of those Tomb Raider lights for us when we play? Oh wait...I wanted to light up the screen, not my face...

My favorite part was your racism when you said "too black". All the inner cities around here are hispanic. Ah, the closed minds of the open-minded...

  9. What fun on Danger in the Big Blue Room · · Score: 2

Yes, I think it would be fun to go dress suspiciously and mouth off to police. Was there actually a point to this article?

  10. I disagree on Peter Wayner On The Spread Of Information · · Score: 1

I would have to say that there definitely is a difference between the internet and the farmer who sells from a stand on the side of the road. The difference is that the farmer only spread his stuff to the people in his town. With the internet, stuff can spread to everyone in the world. Come on. I think it would have been much more interesting to focus on other things in the article.

  11. Why I'm not libertarian on Cyberselfish: Technolibertarianism · · Score: 1

I think the big thing that I think about here is that I just can't believe that people are smart enough to make big decisions on their own. If you think they are then you haven't checked out the Darwin Awards or even the Dilbert True Tales of Induhviduals. I think that some people are smart enough to make decisions on their own, but not most people. Probably not even me.

  12. you can't hide it on Sampling Your Molecular 'Aura' · · Score: 1

You know, I've actually seen one of these things. I don't think we need to worry about them hiding them in the door to the insurance office. Those things are huge. They have to be because of the amount of air that has to be sucked through to check for chemicals.

  14. Re:Does it matter? on 87M Hosts on the Internet? · · Score: 1

I'd say that it is kind of like taking the census. People want to know the size of the internet in the same way that they want to know the size of the population. I'm just waiting until they try to figure out everyone's age/sex/race. Now THAT will be fun.
