Yeah, I know how it works. It's amazing (or horrible) to see how companies are forced to kick the newest employees, even if they are the best and most skilled.
I think many (especially small) companies have suffered extremely from this.
Well, I'm also in Sweden, and I am _not_ a union member. There's absolutely no need for unions in the IT sector. I am very happy to work for a company with good care for their employees. I get a lot more benefits by staying out of the union.
One thing that's good though, is minimum wages when completed a certain education.
I have tried several voice over IP programs for Linux. Most users need to be able to talk with windows users of Roger Wilco, Netmeeting, Buddyphone or something else... I have tried Speak Freely and it's rather good, but the windows version is far too complicated for most users..
It's really good that someone acts to investigate why we europeans have to pay a lot more for DVD movies.
The higher prices in EU is probably why DVD isn't as big here as in the US.
I would like to see something really huge. Imagine the Statue of Liberty but in concrete and looking like a giant missile or something.
Where should it be placed then? Who wants the worlds nuclear waste next door? There's a conflict here: if it's gonna be a monument people will want to see it, but at the same time it's dangerous and should be kept as far away from people as possible.
