No, there's a third dimension, silly. All the bits used to be lain out flat as in your first diagram. Now they are standing on one end, like dominoes. Less area.
It's thought that gamma-ray bursts may in fact be black wholes that finally evaporate into nothingness. The rate of Hawking radiation is inverse to the size of the black hole, so when they're about to go, they go out with a bang.
Everything contained between the covers of a science textbook is a theory, and if you disagree you don't understand the use of the word "theory" as it relates to science. All ideas are not theories. For instance, creationism is not a theory. It's an explanation, but it lacks the critical aspect: it cannot be tested.
The reason the stickers are problematic is they call attention to one theory in particular. This technique uses flaws in nomenclature and faulty human thinking, combined with the 'exception that proves the rule' phenomenon, to imply that evolution is somehow less of a theory than say, gravity. This is not the case, however it is fitting with the agenda of certain religious fundamentalists.
Basically, even though it's a truthful statement, it's still deceitful. For further examples of this, see any of Michael Moore's movies (look at that, I criticize both the right-wingers AND the left-wingers!)
Was reading this the other day, don't remember if it was from slashdot, actually, but it seems pertinent. Especially the part about reaching a nearby star in a reasonable amount of time would require several supertankers of your fuel. So I don't know about any probes within our lifetime. You have no idea how much that depresses me.

"The treatment of Faramir, actually, was my greatest disappointment with the movie (theater version especially). "
Agreed.
You are an idiot.

How is one cert more secure than another? Does VeriSign use magic bits that are harder to crack?

I get all my physics from watching "The Simpsons" too. actually, tho, i'm pretty sure he's right.
Ingenious
Yes, but most of us with high-bandwidth connections pay a premium for those Mb/s, somewhere in the order of $20-40 more per month.
