  1. Unconfirmed bugs on A Security Bug In Mozilla - The Human Perspective · · Score: 1

    The article author writes:
By "regular contributor," I mean someone who files good bug reports and typically doesn't file UNCONFIRMED bugs.

This is more of a question. How do you file a "CONFIRMED" bug? If I personally file a bug, I've always thought that someone else steps up and tests the bug. If he/she can reproduce the bug he changes it to "NEW".

Have I done it wrong all the time? :(

I really disagree. Both feels very different indeed - and they both takes a while before they feels and look more natural.

But if you're right, maybe Counter Strike will break apart someday. :)

One thing is when Slashdot covered the SCO stuff, when it was hot, about five times per day. But SP2? C'mon! Microsoft just loves beeing in the spotlight.

Until CodeWeavers comes up with a nice patch for wine to make SP2 work, please stop the presses!

I wonder how they estimate the cost of development when you find this in the code?

Isn't Sven more expensive than a student? And how can they release it under the LGPL with "stolen" code? :P

Actually I think Real is atleast trying to do something for the community. Why they do it, I'm not really sure. But I'm pretty sure it's not 100% evil intension to try to gather around the OSS flock and storm Microsoft.

You question is almost like asking "Why install mplayer w/o any w32 codecs when there is xine (or whatever player you'd like) that does the same?".

I'm pretty sure that Real would've gotten alot more attention from the community if they've been doing this a few years earlier. Back then, when there were just a few players that never worked, people would've probably tried to help out.
