At times like this, I kinda wish that ISP's would create an e-mail system where anyone wanting to send me an e-mail was charged, say,.02c, for instance. My e-mails could pay for part of my internet connection, and spammers wouldn't spam as much, because it'd highly raise the cost of messaging me. When the user read the message the first time, he would also have the option of waiving the fee for his friends, family, etc. I know it'd take a lot to implement this, but it'd be a really great system.
On another note: I've been getting Chinese spam at my e-mail address for quite a while now. At first, it was only coming from one address for a while, but now it's coming from multiple addresses. This would all be well and good, except I DON'T SPEAK CHINESE. Feh. We've gotta do something.
Just more proof that Intel REALLY wants you to believe that GHZ is everything. My 900 MHZ Athlon is "only" 60% as fast as the 1.5 GHZ pentium 4 they benchmarked. Actually, what it does is just a simple calculation... 900/1500 Hmmm...
Just more proof that government has no idea what government is doing. While I personally disapprove of porn, ESPECIALLY that involving animals (other than humans) and humans, I do think it is wrong for Government to tell us that if we want to, we cannot watch it.
I won't ever be watching porn. I find it degrading to the human race, but I don't think government has the right to tell us that we cannot, let alone a government which has no idea what it is doing.
The production of work which can be proven to be a copy or a part of a copy of another's work without due credit.
Personally, If I were the teacher, and the bulk of their code was their own, and they referenced other code to see how it worked (you try learning C sockets on you own without referencing other work, for instance) and they gave credit, I would have no problem. If they didn't do BOTH of these, I would have an issue to raise.
I currently own a Palm IIIc and the standard palm portable keyboard. The portable keyboard's keys are slightly bigger than a laptop computer, and I have yet to find anyone who does not like typing on it.
No, you don't whip out the keyboard to type in an a name or address. A good use of it is, however, to write a long e-mail at lunch, or to take notes in class (or write a long e-mail in class).
The keyboard (when folded) is just slightly larger than the palm, and each easily fit in a pocket. Quite easier than lugging a laptop into class to take notes.

If the author asks the program to be removed, why not leave the site intact, but remove the file and instead link it to a page explaining the file was removed by author request and the reason the author asked. This would be a further disincentive for the author to remove the game "just because." I know I'd be peeved if I saw my favorite game from 10 years ago was still unavailiable because of the author's stubbornness. I might consider writing to complain or boycotting their products.
I see a major disadvantage in DNA computing. If somehow a hacker managed to get control to damage the components in a computer (similiar to today's BIOS virii) he could modify it such that it broke the casing on the DNA "processor." If well programmed, it could release airborne deadly diseases (both to humans AND computers) into the air. We must be careful as to the control we give the computers over their own hardware.
Shouldn't it be "You're a gay!"?
Anounced... last I checked it was announced.
CmdrTaco. He's at it again.

But, it's all about mega/gigahertz, right?
Yeah, Imagine the possibilities! /. Or !/. (where we could write a script to blow up their computer!)
I suppose I am.

Plagarism was defined to me as:
