Do see how the article compares this tablet to another tablet from the same manufacturer with the same specs but running Android instead of Windows RT? How else do you explain the price difference?
The price difference is probably in the MS software license. IIRC, the OEM license cost for Windows CE in the late 90s was $50. I imagine Windows RT is around $100.
Compare that with Google who pays YOU to run Android.
Perhaps it is too small, but what I do not see in the animation is a new deflection in the orbit with this close fly-by to the earth and moon. What will the new orbit be after the flyby?
Different polymer. The Li-ion Polymers used today are the "solid" batteries the article refers to (as opposed to Liquid Li-ion). A quick Google search would have answered that for you.
Perhaps this is why Cory Doctorow refused to speak. The contract he had to sign was too draconian to make a difference, and he assumed (correctly?) that they would just censor him from the record.
Probably not the problem... I imagine there are further requirements regarding percentages of people from certain countries, gender requirements, etc. I would guess it was the weighting that was at fault, not the randomness.
Bob Slydell: So we just went ahead and fixed the glitch. Bill Lumbergh: Great. Dom Portwood: So, uh, Milton has been let go? Bob Slydell: Well, just a second there, professor. We, uh, we fixed the *glitch*. So he won't be receiving a paycheck anymore, so it'll just work itself out naturally. Bob Porter: We always like to avoid confrontation, whenever possible. Problem is solved from your end.
What about them? Should they be forced to go back to the office to make and receive calls? What about the extra mileage? What if the office doesn't have a landline (some don't!) It's not like they can find a pay phone somewhere.

Going for a downvote record!
So if Yelp were Chinese they'd be arrested?
If they don't get a constant source of new authors, they can not sustain the model...
Or they have been negotiating with Apple for 5 years to take out a license. Most of those negotiations are in secret since most end with an NDA.
How about we let the Africans decide! What a CONCEPT! Self determination!
My credit card.
I'm going to steal someone's phone to get their credit card number? Why not take their wallet?
...an obsolete one, at that...
It's Moe-lib-den-ite.

So what is the technical reason for putting the logic into the cable? None? Purely financial? Ok, I will wait for IBM's new 50GB/s interconnect.
If you can buy a BMW 7 series, you can buy a Tesla. Target market.

Wake me when we fix something really important.

Here we go again! Did game playing really prevent PTSD or are people who play games less susceptible to PTSD?
