I was just expressing my opinion. Point by point. If that's bitching to you then I apologize. But man, the internet must be filled with bitching for you!
Deciding whether to arbitrarily limit the performance of my device is not a decision that someone else can sensibly make for me.
So you'd rather have your phone shut down when launching a power hungry app (when your battery is 3 years old, weared out and at 40%) rather than having said app launch a little slower?
Your specific use case does not apply to me and as such all you achieve is gimping my phone for no reason. Kindly keep your silly ideas away from my phone.
Wow. Wake up man, it's just amusement, nothing serious.
First, all SW movies are abysmal in some way. The Force Awakens, where Fin, a non-jedi that barely ever touched a light saber can fight head to head with Kylo Ren for minutes without being touched? Please, that was abysmal. All of them movies have those moments.
Second, there is no book burning. The books are not in the tree anymore when Yoda burns it. Maybe you weren't paying attention.
Third, this movie is on par with the others. SW movies are like any movie. You need to be in the right mood to enjoy them. I went with my kids and the entire family loved it. That's how those movies are supposed to be consumed. They are entertainment. Don't take them as seriously as you do, and everything will be fine.
Changing a battery on an iPhone can be done for a price at the next Apple Store. And while you are tech savvy, you wouldn't believe the number of people that don't care.
I have not purchased a phone since they became throw away's (sealed in battery)
I am not aware of a single phone with a sealed in battery, and if they exist they are most likely a very tiny portion of all phones. Changing the battery on an iPhone is as simple as buying one online, opening the phone and swaping it. True, you need a specific screwdriver to open the phone, but they bundle it with the battery, so this point is moot.
And don't complain about this voiding the warranty, there is no warranty anymore when you need a battery swap.
Of course but they are not the same... NSA works for US govt, FSB doesn't.
Very typical comment from an American. It's very different because we are the center of the world. Mind you, I am not an American. Hint: Your best move now is to tell me to get off of Slashdot.
So the choice buying from an American company or a Russian one gets down to whether I prefer my data being spied upon by the Russians or by the Americans. And neither looks good.
In any group sufficiently large there are extremists to the cause at hand. In feminists they are called Feminazis. Which is not to say that all feminists are Nazis. But some most definitely are.
Good on you for speaking out now, then! Instead of, say, standing up for the victims at the time when it actually happened. Really shows what you're made of.
Why designate him as eligible to speak on the victims' behalf? *I would wait to see the vic's response; it's their call to make, not his

If I ever see a male coworker molest a female coworker, I can tell you I will report it, no matter what.
You, sir, are completely uninformed. The reason iOS users update more frequently is precisely because the update does not come through the carriers. It comes directly from Apple. In all cases, no exceptions. And, of course, the update is completely free and always has been.
Even people with hand-me-downs and resales do updates.
Actually, first versions of iOS (2 and 3) were not free for ipod touch users.
I have tons of apps. True, on day one the battery is drained quickly, but then again, on day one I am constantly looking all the new stuff. On day two everything is always back to normal.
I have a 6S plus and the battery is lasting the same with iOS11 as before.
Let's say that I try to filter out the bitching. It kinda somewhat works.

Agreed.
Sorry Mr Internet Police, I didn't realise you were banning people from stating negative opinions about a film
I was under the impression that answering a Slashdot comment was pretty far from banning anyone from doing anything. I may be wrong.
Wow. Wake up man, it's just amusement, nothing serious.

Exactly what Apple has done with Safari, on both iOS and OSX. Except that Apple enabled the option by default.

I think they are uniquely positioned to be influenced by the FSB
You mean just like any American company with the NSA?
When you don't care about making money, you don't become a billionnaire. I'll let you find the fatal flaw in your arguments.
The definition, just the definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
I equated cash with FIAT currency, because for now in most country they are indistinguishable.
Cash is something guaranteed by your government to have a very specific value. USD, Euro, etc. BC is not cash.
Some will say it's better, but it is still not cash.
Care to elaborate ?
I usually store passwords salted and hashed 100 to 500 thousand times with SHA-256 or MD5.
Should I switch to this now ?
Feminists aren't Nazis.
Good thing I said exactly that. Your point again?
Can you please explain to mne how this is related to my comment?
There are extremists in feminism, in socialism, in religion, in open source, in everything. How is that related to your comment?
Yes, some people mistreat women. And it's not even only men! And this is bad. And feminists aren't standing for it. What is your point?
Isn't that what minor patches are supposed to be ?
In any group sufficiently large there are extremists to the cause at hand. In feminists they are called Feminazis. Which is not to say that all feminists are Nazis. But some most definitely are.
Whoa slow down cowboy

I don't Apple would appreciate this.
I don't either.

Enable. The. Fucking. Radio.
Didn't you get the memo? There is no radio to be enabled.
This is wrong on so many levels. Them writing it, you falling for it. This is sad really.
an iPhone or iPad running iOS 10 takes 240 minutes of usage to drain the battery
With this simple sentence they will have you believe that an iPhone (any model) and an iPad (any model) have the same autonomy.
When I read this I see pure garbage. You see news. What a world we are living in!
