Maybe they should just stop making products that are so much alike to those from another company which have proven its willingness to sue everyone over them.

Frankly, it's not that hard either.

You forgot blatantly stealing a competitor product and releasing as their own whanging just the name, not even recompiling it ! That, and on many occasions!

  4. Ok, there are 50 prior art examples. Note that none of them apply to Apple's patents as much as Samsung's tablets do, but that's for another post.

Now. How come Apple made ONE tablet, after 50 or so competing models, and they sold more tablets in their first day than the 50 models combined in their entire lifespan?

And please, don't make it a marketing issue. You know there's more than that at play or else you haven't learn much in the past few years.

So obviously there was something about the iPad that the other tablets didn't have. But that's not innovation, even if YOU cannot pinpoint what made the iPad different after three years!

    Please explain.

  5. There must be more to it than that, or else Microsoft would have reaped the tablet market ages ago.

Not bad but most likely completely off the mark, at least in regards to the question asked.

If you design a website for someone, you've lost right there. What you should design is a *system* and the first thing to design in this system is that who can do what with it. For one, whenever it's live, how much control does the owner of the website want over his website? Should he call you every time his phone number or opening hours changes and he naturally wants an update? Will you charge him for that? How much? What's your SLA on such requests? What if he wants a "quote of the day" ? Do you handle that by hand? Are you sure? etc.

Start from there and drill down to the expectations of both parties. Then find a middle ground.

Which tool should be used can only be defined afterward.

One of the applications for these boxes are backup servers. Not servers that store data, but servers that move data around to make a backup of PC A onto another PC B. In other words, servers that move bytes around. Wifi sucks balls at moving bytes compared to gigE. There is no question about it.

Wireless is great, but only if it's unreasonable to expect a cable. For phones or tablets. A laptop on the move. For the rest, I'll take my wired Cat6 cable over Wifi every day of the year.

I do think the "it's sexist" attitude is a rather silly, though.

Your example fails to offend men because men are seldom considered meat over which many feels they have a natural right to own. This is not the case for women.

Have you ever been sexually harassed?
Have you ever been followed at night and scared you might get raped?
Have you been looked at insistently by gross people whose "fantasy" was displayed right on their face?
Have you been groped like you were a piece of meat on a stand?

If you have not, you will need a bit of empathy to understand. It's not out of reach though.

    Normal - adjective
