I have a tomcat 6 running at home and https://boo/ and https://foo/ doesn't get me to the same page although they both point to 127.0.0.1. SO I guess wikipedia is wrong then...
That is why I generalized my comment with "those networks". I don't know Time Warner in particular, but the networks that do OTA have the same stupid rules... go figure.
What I don't understand is why those networks - whose sole objective should be to make their programs available to the greatest numbers - keep on dropping arbitrary limitations on this thing... I just don't get it. Just stream the whole damn thing from every where to everywhere for god's sake !!!! You are already broadcasting it to the entire country OTA, what the heck could be the point of crippling it so much on any other medium !!!!!
Errr, I guess it's just trolling, but I'll bite. iPhone receives calls whatever state it's in. Unless you're having a data connection over Edge, but that's a network limitation.
It's just that the barrier of entry is extremely low, so everyone can DIY its own script in notepad, while not understanding a single line of what they wrote. That's why we end up with so many poorly written javascript.
If you think the iPhone revolutionized the space by offering email and web browsing, it just means you have missed the entire picture. What Apple brought to the table is *much* more than a featureset. It brought an experience. It's the glue between the features that got them ahead of the competition - even if the features were way ahead of the competition as well.
The question is: Are you allowed to get naked in your living room. If so, how can you prevent a silly XBox virus to upload pics of your naked self on your internet?
My answer: A piece of fabric on top the kinect. I'll trademark the KinHat and off I go to the USPTO.
I don't own a PS3 and wouldn't buy one because I don't support closed source devices.
Just so that we can get definitions straight before proceeding further (Layne's Law), how exactly do you define "closed source devices"? Does a non-free BIOS make a device closed-source? What about a non-free microcode in the CPU?
I think you nailed him. Then again, nailing AC is pretty easy these days.
Well, given a check, it also works on IE+WinXP. So I don't know what's not working on Windows XP, but hosting two sites on the same IP sure does work.
That's what preview is for ;-)

Geologists also say that tonight's going to be a good night, though they say the same thing every single time.
That's not geologists, that's the Black Eyed Peas !!!

Whan you are a content distributor and you do so much to make sure your viewers cannot view your content, there must be something wrong.
Can you watch a live football game on netflix?

While I completely agree with you, you should stop feeding the trolls. These big animals are becoming a commonplace over here lately.

What's your point? Flash is old ans HTML5 is young? Was it really necessary to write a 11 line post to make your point?
I do use HTML5 as well as CSS3 on a daily basis.
If it was the only part of flash not supported we could live with it. I can actually live without flash. I actually do. But still...
Human females are different. They get irritated when ovulating. Before, during and after, in fact.
So they are always irritated?
Wow. You are sharp.

ActionScript is practically JavaScript? Good god, that's like saying VB is practically C.
No it's not. They are practically identical.

3. Flash works fine on:
a. Symbian
b. Android
c. Several other major mobile OSs'
d. iOS is the only mobile OS that doesn't support it
Please define "fine". I have a couple of friends with Galaxy S and Nexus One phones, and it is nowhere near "fine", at least by my definition of fine.

Actually, if you turn the device around, you'll see that there is an apple on the back. An apple!
How did these people made their decision? Did they not see the bite mark on the apple? It is clearly a rotten fruit. God...
May I ask just what the fuck is happening here?
Sure. This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.

AC has spoken. Hugh!
Who is going to call the dwarves and the elves? We need help over here !
Since you are a chrome user, you won't have my site blocked. So your entire argument falls flat.
As for the annoyance, the popup is configurable, so each site owner might word it as he so choose. Pick your wording.
As for being subtle, I don't think your users will notice it then. So you're probably better off with nothing.
