BULLSH*T!
This guy is full of it.
The assumption that government or anyone else is somehow entitled to my money is absurd. The problem with all this moralistic whining about how the rich wont pay enough in taxes is first based on a mathmatical distortion and second just utter bs because it IS MY MONEY! Not theres. I earned, its mine and where the hell do they get off taking it for an array of programs whose principles while good are skewed by horrible execution. Maybe if government had a success rate above 1% (barring the military) it would be better, but they dont.
And they have the gall to whine about how the rich will get the biggest cuts. In dollar terms they are right, in PERCENTAGE TERMS they are WRONG. The rich will still shoulder the vast majority of the debt.
But okay, maybe the rich do get off a little too easy. Gore on the other hand decided he is going to dole out OUR MONEY based on social engineering for a set of principles which includes military tech transfers to China. It isnt his to decide who is worthy and who isnt. ITS MY (and your) money. Where the hell is he coming from.
All those wonderfull patterns, blocks falling into place. There was a time when my dreams of tetris were better then playing because there was constanst sense of flow. Very zen now that I think about it.
Patterns of blocks are much better dreams then any RTS could provide..
"I'm on it!" keeps running through my mind. I think I would go crazy.
Couldnt agree with you more, but I think one other thing is needed, at least in the U.S.. That is a very strong alliance with A16, Zmag and the other activist groups fighting the IMF, WTO etc. Frankly these kids are pros at protesting and organizing, they hate corporate america and are highly motivated. They are the perfectr allies. Unfortunatly they are generally speaking technically ignorent. This is large gap, but it could be breached.
You know, if we could just establish a sort of Geek Union, we could really change alot of these policies. Unfortunatly we are all pretty arrogant in the end and I think must of us would be unwilling to join a union due to the associations with lower middle class values.
To hell with CNN, its all about cspan. Cspan seems to lack all sense when it comes to how to market anything, which generally makes their programming excellent.
Actually, I dont think they have any advertisers or even anchor people its just live footage. No wonder I like it so much.
Anyway, if people really want an alternative news source which isnt influence by commercialism, check out A16.

A group of people, lets just say intelligent tech aware people could come together and form a coalition vote. Not only could they offer this block vote for sale for large amounts, Im sure they could also use it to extract payments from special interest for NOT voting. Assuming of course that this coalition was large enough and had the right marketing.
What exactly does the mean for the T-Shirts? Does this mean that if I wear the code on my shirt the MPAA can sue me because of my intent?
worse yet, can they sue a site for selling the shirt?
aintitcool.com swears that this is not the working title and they are usually right on the money when it comes to these things.
