Linux won't run on a laptop, give me a break. Linux will be the first, last and only OS on my nice lill' laptop (just a few more days! drool).
And the M$ CEO? come on people, there must be something more interresting than Billy boy's lackey throwing up on something he sure as hell should phear!
Having something superconduct at, near, 0 Kelvin isn't all that difficult as everything superconducts at that temperature. Now having a superconductor at "normal" temp's, that would be a huge boost to science.
And trust me, cooling stuff with icecubes won't get the temperature down to 1 Kelvin. you'll have to think a tad harder for that Nobel prize:o)
Now i know who hacked Diablo 2! This DotComGuy had spare time, and wanted to get some xtra bucks on ebay! I call 4 revenge! Lets DOS his connection, and starve tha bugger out! Wha! That'll teach him!
Isn't a democracy a way for the people to choose their leaders? If that is true, you american's don't have a democracy! Only in a nation without a democracy can a leader be elected without the majority of the votes!
If the USA is a true democracy the candidate with the most votes should win. You american's remain a strange kind of people..
I work at a school where every computer has a zip-drive built-in. This works perfectly for nearly all students, the only problem is that they need to buy a $99 drive to use the disks at home. But this is worth the investment, Zipdisks are quite reliable (a lot more than "read-error" floppy's) and they can dump a whole lot of rubbish on a single disk.
And even without a zipdrive at home, the students can save loads of stuff to use on the campus.
Thats why i give Iomega and the Zip a thumbs-up, solely on what i have experianced on my school. (Naturally i'm biased thanks to all those error-prone floppy's, destroying hours of work, but heck, zips are better anyhow...)
Now i think of it, has Iomega any competition on this subject?
