  1. It's time to be realistic on Should The Next Windows Be Built On Linux? · · Score: 2, Insightful

Let's be realistic now, Windows and Linux do different things. If you want actual control over your computer and a nice development environment, use Linux. If you want to access any kind of file type or hardware simply and easily, you're gonna use Windows. Sure one could be brought to perform like the other, but that would take a damn long time.

  3. Re:Most Violent Film ever? on Review: Blade II - Electric Boogaloo · · Score: 1

I was thinking about that one actually, my evaluation was based on sort of a combination of body count and graphic gore. I mean one of the only dialog scenes in this movies is over an autopsy.

  4. Most Violent Film ever? on Review: Blade II - Electric Boogaloo · · Score: 0

I'm not saying that it bothers me, but goddamn this movie is violent. I mean, the first one had a fight scene or two and people getting chopped with swords and heads exploding and such. But this movie may go down in history as one of the wildly violent films of all time. I realize that there are more graphic films of the zombie or japanese horror-porno type, but for those of you who have seen the film, I urge you to consider the sheer number of graphic maimings in this thing. How many times can you remember a close-up of someone getting a broken arm? The PTA is gonna love this baby.

  5. Crazyness on The Problem Of Developing · · Score: 1

By the end of the year, two platforms--J2EE and .Net--will essentially control the programming languages market.

What the hell is he talking about?

  6. Another Network on Concerning The Cancellation of Futurama · · Score: 1

Oh, come on. I get like 800 channels on digital cable. There's got to be like 60 cooking shows on right now. If Groening wants to put in the effort for less money he can definitly sell this baby to Cartoon Network or the SciFi Channel(they even picked up Earth Final Conflict without realizing it had not yet died). But i kinda think he's too greedy.

  7. Send in the clones on Lab Develops Artificial Womb · · Score: 1

Developments like this really offer tremendous opportunities for creating a family for those who cannot have children the old fashioned way.

    Yeah, like mad scientists.

  8. Re:Content Management on What Kind of Books do You Want? · · Score: 1, Informative

Yes!!! Content management is going to be THE thing in the next few years. Also maybe a book on "Creating Content Managemnt Systems in PHP" or something. More Ruby books are always good too.

  9. Over-looked Feature on KernelTrap Talks WIth GNU/Hurd Developer Neal Walfield · · Score: 0, Flamebait

Gee, while I was reading about the different "advantages" of using the HURD, it remended me quite a bit of the type of talk body-mod enthusiasts use when they list the "advantages" of self-castration (you don't go bald, etc...). I don't want to come off as hostile, but am I the only person on earth that thinks that the only reason this project is still around is because of RMS' massive ego?

  10. Where are you right now? on The Hypermedia Hazard · · Score: 1

It takes a great deal of ignorance to make comments like this on an American website developed for the free spead of information that is sitting on an American invented information network. I must say that I did not used to be very patriotic until I started to read stuff from people like you Troed.
