I'm running Freewwweb right now under Linux.... it seems to work by having you load home.freewwweb.com as your start page.... as long as you do that.. there is no problem.... (or... you can just crontab lynx to do it for you) but if you don't... you account only lasts about a week (i already found that out)... it IS really a great service though... no ugly ads to look at (or ignore)
It also appears that UUnet is taking some heavy hits..... the routing table is like a bowl of spagetti noodles right now..... i'm on my backup accound through another provider right now.... i can't get a ping under about 10 min on UUnet.
yea... i agree... slackware is awfull.... i mean, you get to play with config files, and make things work how you want!? and WTF, no RPMs? you mean that those.tgz source tarballs ACTUALLY WORK RIGHT?! but i ENJOY screweing up RPMs when i compile upgrades from.tgz! I agree... Slackware is WAAAAAY to hard.... go play with RedHat, and all it's GUI glory...
-- Slackware user sense '96... and stuck in RH right now (OMG!! NOOO!!!)
I can't read the press relece, it CAN'T be/.ed can it? i mean, this looks like it might even be near a first post:P ohh yea... does anyone have a URL to the PR that works?:)

1337... as in 31337
leet and eleet
well.... if you don't want to see the AC's (unless they have a point) just set the threshold to 1 instead of 0.... it gets rid of the problems
