    I have to think that you've tipped all the wrong people, and been getting terrible service. You probably should have never tipped any of them at all. The type of service that earns a 20% tip is so good, you would never argue against it.

    You understand that your money doesn't just sit there magically earning 5% by doing nothing, right?

    Rethink your broken world scenario as: you are better off investing your money in growing corporations than by buying a very marginal improvement in your power generation opportunities.

    Why not every citizen? It'd be cheaper than the costs we've already sunk into either fission or fusion power, and would reduce power needed by more than the output of all of the fission power plants we have in this country. Or looking at it another way, if you want to save CO2 emissions, how about we turn off half the coal plants?

    I used to ask for a quicksort implementation as an interview problem, and I've received well over a hundred answers, and at least 20% of those worked.

    Real managers plan and prioritize, not delegate. The assignment of tasks should be handled on a pull basis by the team.

    And probably more importantly than estimating accurately, we aim to estimate consistently. Then we compare actual rate of feature completion against the estimated size of remaining features. We've landed within a single sprint of estimates over a year long release with 20+ developers.

    It is an evolving, living communications medium. If the English manuals can't keep up, that's not on teens and tweeners, that's on the manual manufacturers. Just another dying industry like the cd-pressing industry. Get used to seeing a lot of :-) in your world, or be prepared to cope with a :-P
