Not like "windows to linux". Better like "windows to apple". Europe/apple is proud. She wants to come up with all the great ideas herself. And if someone else comes up with something good, europe rarely does copy. Better invent something original... On the other hand, america/microsoft is more flexible...she goes with what works, and she never cares about who thought about it first.
has a small solar cell fitted to its roof. When it is hot (e.g. during the summer mostly) the energy is used to power a small air-condition unit (not the car's regular A/C) to keep the interior cold. Perhaps through gradual steps like that could the automobille industry move to a more ecologicaly sound era. It wouldn't be bad if my car could draw energy from the sun, even only or non-essential systems such as the car stereo. I personally do not believe that solar-only cars are anywhere near in the future. Perhaps hybrid cars, like toytota prius are the best bet for today. They can use both gas and electricity so one could use the first to travel long distances and the second to move inside the city.

Ok now my day is complete! Is it my imagination or almost everyday there is a different story at slashdot about "the new cd protection scheme". Does ***anyone*** believe that this crackpot scheme has any ***remote*** chance of being used in the next 1000 years??? What else will they think of next, mr. data's fractal encryption???
the episode you are refering to is titled "space seed". FYI Richardo also played Khan Nunien Singh in that episode. It is worth mentioning that in the last scene Spock literaly warns Kirk that some day Khan might escape from seti alpha 5.

...is the defence industry. It is crystal clear that the western world is preparing for a war with anybody that will stand in the way of the new order. And this war is going to be done on land, sea, air and most importantly, space. If you want to know what the next hot buzzword will be, I say war.Unfortunately, killing people has always been one of the most profitable jobs around.
