    All the crap pc makers lost my trust a long time ago

    I spent $1100 on a 13"Mbp last year and the closest pc counterpart was about $1000.

    Since everyone with a gmail address is on g+ it includes my mom, father in law and wife who have no idea it exists

    By the end of the year I might even add my mother in law and wife's grandparents. Except with them they won't even know they have gmail. I'll use it just for iPhone contact management for them

    i'm on the time warner a la carte $50 10mbps plan. next year FIOS is coming to my building but i will most likely stay with time warner.

    reason is that i get almost 100 channels free through the same cable so i can watch sports and my wife can watch american idol without the need for an antenna

    my inlaws have FIOS in their neighborhood but they still have cable because FIOS doesn't carry their international channels. same for a lot of people. that's what the geeks can't figure out when these studies are done

    i'm not stupid enough to look at my phone every 2 seconds to make sure i didn't miss a turn. between apple maps, waze and navigon i have no need of google maps and have a lot more features than with android

    google maps on iOS was only good for single people who don't have cars. for the car owners the lack of turn by turn directions and real time traffic means we've been using something else for years and don't care about the lack of google maps

    like the Moto #ilost ad using a fake and non-existent address. there is no 315 e 15st in manhattan. even the NYC GIS app has it as a fake placeholder address in the middle of the street

    but all the fandroids swear its real because its on google maps.

    try getting a bank loan for it. "but it's on Google Maps. the banks are idiots"

    i've used them here. the parsing is screwy. you have to input the address exactly or it will screw it up. but it wasn't too much trouble to do it for a few contacts.

    otherwise the routing works very nicely. previous maps app didn't have turn by turn and this is a pretty big improvement. especially the real time traffic from waze that's built in

    i read these and almost every flagship from from every manufacturer is in the $180 to $200 range. Apple's bill of materials tends to be a little higher most times but their margins are also higher because they make one phone for all around the world. iphone 5 and LTE is an exception with different models supporting different frequencies around the world

    i mean we never had any fires before this year. or heavy rain, or powerful hurricanes. until this year it was sunny and 73 degrees everywhere all the time

    in the 80's the Mississippi flooded almost every year.
    we had wildfires all the time because they are caused by poor forest management, not global warming. the Native Americans learned long ago you have to set small fires so that large ones can be avoided. enviro-crazies hate this and its illegal to do controlled burns in forests in most places. if you don't do controlled fires then the supply of fuel for large fires builds up and lighting or anything else will cause a huge fire
