Hate to point this out to you, but the IQ test was a hoax/fraud... the Lovenstein Institute doesn't exist. See here (yeah yeah, it's Drudge, the facts remain).
I'm getting more and more pissed at this... there WERE 2 pilots who managed to get into the air, and they DID manage to shoot down 7 planes between them... before you yell at someone about their mistakes, make sure you're accurate too...
umm... not to rain on your parade, but he just loses his eyesight in Messiah and goes off into the desert... he's the Prophet(? can't remember... been a while) in Children of Dune... but I gotta agree with you on God Emperor.
Wait, you forgot Messiah... you don't even have the series in the correct order. FYI, it's: 1. Dune: The best 2. Dune Messiah: had some interesting concepts 3. Children of Dune: Kinda sucked, except for the end, overall too much like Messiah (but the sandtrout suit kicked ass, IMHO) 4. God Emperor of Dune: My second favorite of the series, and a truly interesting character study 5. Heretics of Dune: Okay, but like 2nd said, pulpy 6. Chapterhouse Dune: Good, but the end seriously confused me... hopefully I'll understand better when Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson put out Dune 7...
Oh, and don't forget Brian and KJA's "prequels", House Atreides and House Harkonnen... although they don't really stand up to the example set by Frank Herbert (godlike), they at least provide a good read, and give some interesting background info concerning past events. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. G
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Your sig is making my head hurt! There has to be something wrong with it, but I can't figure it out... someone, please help me, I know there has to be something wrong with it... but what?
Okay, here's how it works: During the day, the plant takes in water and CO2 and uses sunlight to make C6H12O6 (glucose) and oxygen. Then at night, the tree takes in oxygen from the air and combines it with the glucose for energy overnight. The only place carbon is taken out of the cycle is when it's saved up within the plant as sugars/starches.
To recap:
Day: 6CO2 + 6H2O --> C6H12O6 + 6O2
Night: 6O2 + C6H12O6 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O
The reason plants give off extra O2 is because they don't use all of the glucose.
I hate to reply to my own post, but I just realized something... the filtering is done at the school, and piped to the library... so, even if an adult comes forward and asks to work without the filter, they can't! How is this going to effect things?
I'm the son of a librarian, and I know firsthand that they are trying to stop this in any way they can... but should that not work, we're screwed, because I can research virtually nothing for my anatomy course... unfortunately, they get their internet connection through the local school, who has some kinda filtering software up... it's really screwed up, you can't go to half the 3rd party candidates' websites, 2600, or even the Onion. It's really annoying, because I got one of the librarians hooked on red meat, and now we can't access it!
Now explain why it is right to force those who agree with abortion to rescind their funds and not pay. Then, explain why it is right to force anyone to not provide funding overseas for something they believe in. I believe that something like 60-65% of Americans believe that abortion should be legal.
I have to say that, despite the fact that I hate W. and don't think he won fairly, I agree that we should at least give him some time before we jump on his back... I mean, at least give him a little time to screw things up before we really tear into him. Considering how long it took him to screw up abortion funding, it shouldn't be long until he screws up big enough for us all to hate him.
Well, you must realize that, although we normally operate in base 10, we can operate in binary (base 2), and, should aliens send back their own decoder in, say, base 29, we'll be able to decode it as well.
but neutron stars would emit light, which said black holes do not.

What if they replace the voting booths with, say, boothed computers, which can be used either by touchscreen or by mouse, and which have keyboards (for write-in votes). The people go into the booth and close the curtain thing, which turns on the screen, they vote however they want (without any stupid mistakes like voting for more than one candidate), and when they open the curtain, their votes are entered. Now, why wouldn't that work?
Okay, if black holes don't exist, then explain accretion discs and the huge jets coming out of them, along with the massive amount of x-rays. Quantum singularities exist, and we have a good amount of corroborating evidence to that fact.

I dunno... I thought that DS9 and TNG were roughly equal... they each had their points... I'd go TNG=DS9, the cartoon series, TOS, Voy(ugh)
and a-b=0... okay, I'm just glad that it's not driving me crazy anymore...

You mean E.Y.E.S. of Mars and Escaflowne, right? :)
BTW, I miss saturday anime too... why don't they bring it back?

I was half-asleep when I posted that one... I think SquadBoy made my point better below. Thanks.
(At least I finally got a mod of some form)

I agree wholeheartedly. *cough, EVERQUEST cough*

... so what's the difference between this and virtually all other religions? (western religions, at least...)
