Now we can get all those close-up shots of the players sweaty arm-pits that we've been dying to see for so long! yay! Some has too much time on their hands I think...
I shipped a full-size tower from Minnesota to Texas with FedEx and when it got to Texas it looked like someone had tried to run a sharp metal spike through it. They tagged the $5000 (at the time) 3D-Labs Wildcat 4110 video card directly with enough force to unseat it and nearly tear the agp-pro socket completely off mobo in the process. So it looks like you can go with UPS and get boned or go with FedEx and get shafted... your choice:P
If they farm the shuttle program out to M$ then M$ can integrate it with M$Passport which will make it so much easier to buy your way into space... and if you're good you can do it with someone elses money! Cool!
The first time I played the AvP demo... I stepped out of the APC and was looking around. My motion tracker started going off and then the doors at the other side of the room opened up. An alien ran in and then disappeared up the wall and into the darkness. I'm frantically looking for the damn thing when it drops down on top of me from the ceiling. By the time I could pry my finger off of the left mouse button (it took some serious mental effort to do so) I'd chewed up an entire clip in my pulse rifle... hmmm... 1 alien = 1 clip not a good ratio!
Hollings is probably the same guy who made it illegal to rip the tags off of our mattresses.

Screw'em! Can some please just release a new CR version that contains the IPs of the unpatched servers so that when they all switch from infect to attack mode they can just DDOS each other to death. If you haven't patched your server by now then I hope it catches fire!
"...on the basis of mere photographs which themselves do not necessarily show any crime being committed."
Did you ever stop to ponder the idea that maybe the cops chose those particular frames not because they were the best images of the crime but because they were the best images of the criminal??
I have to respectfully disagree... it already changes the way we live although most folks don't know it. I work for a firm that specializes in arial mapping (Digital Terrain Models, Planametric Data Maps, and Digital Orthophotos) and most of our clients are state DOTs (dept of transportation) and city planners. The type of GIS data we deal in is used for things like road planning, city growth tracking, landfill tracking, microwave transmission evaluation... etc. Almost any urban development related subject has ties to the GIS field. Now if we could just find some surveyers that could read a GPS unit correctly 3 out of 4 times we'd really have something...:)
Similar to Snow Crash but written earlier (1984?). Deals with issuse like AI, Cybernetics, and Hacking as a government weapon.
