  1. New kitchenware! on Intel Releases "Fastest Chip Ever" · · Score: 0

It can fry an egg in less than 30 secs, and if you buy it with the grill option you can cook a chicken in only 35 minutes!

Ask with the original teflon(R), accept no imitations. :)

But did you see the L2 cache they where using? 128 MB of level 2 for the 1.3 ghz and 64 for the 1 Ghz Power 4. Nice comparisons though, but impractical to show that they can evaluate the Itanium with the power 4 configuration.

  5. And on the other way around? on No-Solder Modchip For The Xbox · · Score: 1

Ok, I suppose I have a good PC at home, with TV-out, DVD burner, etc. It wouldn't be better to make an emulator for linux to play pirated Xbox games rather than try to hack the Xbox? Something like vmware's Xbox. Or even better, a Bootable CD that turns my desktop (or notebook) PC into an Xbox to play from time to time.

That would be more interesting since we all have rather good Pc's laying around.

  9. The losses of buying an XBOX on XBox Linux HOWTOs · · Score: 1

Ive heard a million times here that Microsoft looses money by selling XBOXes for Us$200, and if we dont buy any games we are just srewing them.

    THAT IS NOT TRUE!

The console gaming arena is moved by the percentage of market sharing. If Microsoft can demonstrate that he has sold a respectable percentage of the market, they can force the gaming development companies to create more games for their console and to make the snowball bigger for them.

So even if we buy the console and we dont buy any games -wich is not gonna happen, because if we have a game console at home you ended up using it anyway- Microsoft can get more market share and better games for its console anyway.

  10. Who should we to blame? on Napster Not To Blame · · Score: 1
It is funny how the big music and recording companies are trying to blame the consumers for using several tactics that makes us to think:

First, they are using a sales model from the beginning of the last century.

Second, they are using a technology that is at least 25 years old, and with the fast development of technologies it is becoming easy even for the dumb masses to get something more convenient in their own homes.

And finally, they always try to sell you what it is cool just what they think it is cool, destroying better sources of music or great band/singers just because they dont see the market.

It is really a shame how they want to blame us (consumers) for their lack of vision of bussiness and try to block the leaks with the use of manipulative laws, first against musicians, and now against consumers.
