    They want fluff.

    public that can stop their attacks on the readers freedom.

    No sane admin would ever allow remote router configuration anyway, so admitting the use of a router that has a remote exploit, is not really a problem. It is allowing the remote access to begin with.

    Yes, browsers are complicated.

    But when you are using a browser while running with
    admin privileges, and a non-trustable ActiveX-ploit,
    you are begging to be taken advantage of.

    That happens when you change from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange.

    It is amazing that this many were recoverable at all.

    Perhaps someone in IT considered the possibility that the
    migration to Exchange would fail, and kept feeding all of the
    e-mails to another set of servers for, you know, safekeeping.

    I'm a GPL advocate and actually, I'd be ecstatic if a major corporation decided to use GPL code -- as long as they adhered to the terms of the license and released the code along with the binary.
