    No. If I *choose* to not agree to the {L]GPL, that is
    a perfectly valid choice, *BUT*, I still can use the software.

    And, at the same time, I could have obtained that software
    for free (as in 'legal' currency, aka beer).

    There are no *conditions* imposed *unless* I accept the license.

    Don't assume that a person receiving something requires
    that said person must fork over cash for it.

    If you buy into that, you believe in the Microsoft PIPE Fairy.

    In could not have been in response to Oracle and Red Hat. This has been planned out for years (Novell bought SuSE nearly 3 years ago), and the Microsoft-Novell discussions started in April 2006, well before Oracle made their announcement.

    I *knew* something was fishy when Novell bought SuSE.

    At least if a chimp flips a coin,
    they appear intelligent.

    If a whole lot of chimps flip coins,
    why, the voting pattern would actually
    appear human-like.

    At least in most races.

    In this case, apparently 25% have a clue.

    Do you know what the difference is between
    a chimp voter and a human voter?

    can even contemplate such questions.

    Personnally, as SpaceLifeForm, I have seen no big bang, nor
    any collapse. The Universe just exists, is infinite, and
    will always exist. Everything else that points to expansion
    *or* collapse is just an illusion, physics to confuse the
    observer.

    That won't help because the *totals* can be manipulated
    without any trace. The code could be quite valid, but
    manipulating the counts would still be possible.
